Disney should never get control of X-Men. They're not suited to the more serious themes and they'd limit the direction the franchise could take. They would have slaughtered Logan and Deadpool with awful sitcom jokes, poor action and a PG-13 rating. There'd completely butcher a character like Magneto - no way would they allow a scene of a concentration camp. Josh Whedon would probably try make a crappy joke about the conditioning if he had to include it.
To be fair to Fox, while they've interfered and ruined some movies, they generally give the directors way more freedom. Logan and Deadpool are the best comic book movies of the last few years and are far better than the average MCU movie. They simply would not be possible with Disney at helm (imagine PG Deadpool - shudders). First Class and Days Of Future Past were also REALLY well done and perfectly explored the dynamic between Magneto and Professor X. This is all because they let the di...
I've felt this way for a long time as well. And if a game has something to say that doesn't mean it's not fun.
Spot on. To say games can only be "fun" is a childish and backwards way of thinking.
Hot Pursuit felt great though.
For anyone who doesn't want to click the link, here's the ESRB rating for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy:
"In this open-world action game, players assume the role of three criminals whose storylines intersect within the fictional city of Los Santos. Players can switch between each character to follow his storyline, completing missions which often include criminal activities (e.g., stealing cars, executing heists, assassinating targets). Players use pistols, machine guns...
Yes! Black Ops 3 may be the only CoD I've enjoyed this generation, but it's damn good.
You have an image of Solid Snake as your profile picture and you're complaining about story-telling. The MGS games have hours of cut-scenes. Are you a lunatic or a troll (I suppose they're the same thing, really)?
Dear God, no.
Fuck yes. I've been waiting for this for a while. I even bought Dangerous Golf just to support them. The name is actually great.
Well, I actually did have some good fun with Disc Jam but it didn't hold my attention for long as there's not much content. I think I commented on N4G that it was really fun when I first played it - I wish there was more crazy games like that. I'll definitely go back to it if there's more modes and characters but it's just a bit barebones (at least it was the last time I played it).
I think the last while with PS Plus (especially this year) has been the ...
First good month in a while.
I was always very disappointed with MGS2. To me, it failed to capture a lot of what I loved about the original and I think it was too unhinged and goofy at times for it's own good. MGS is obviously a bit silly, but it's usually about placing you in a realistic setting and then gradually throwing weird shit at you and unsettling you over time. MGS2 just went too far for me once you become Raiden. I found characters like Vamp, Fatman and Fortune to be poor villains, although Vamp had so...
That's not true. Black Ops 3 sold twice the amount on PS4, so ...
You have a point. I'll give you that.
Had to be done.
Bioware, take note. She doesn't look like they started off with a Shrek character model and then tried to change it into a woman.
@ImGumbyDammit A lot of the prices in Europe as the same as the American price .... but with a different currency. $400 PS4 in America = €400 console in Europe. We generally get screwed over.
I don't think what Phoenix is saying is correct though. It's pricing would realistically be something more be like £380-£400 pounds (maybe higher).
What a terrible argument. Uncharted 4 arguably has better gameplay than Andromeda and more importantly, is actually a finished, polished game. The other Mass Effects have far better animation and cinematic flair. This is about holding a company to their own standards from a decade ago. "Movie gamers, movie games!!!" Give me a break.
This generation doesn't do a great job of backing up his point though. In what other art-form do you have to put up with intrusive micro-transactions and intense nickel and diming the whole time you engage with and even if you paid a premium price for it? In what other art form have all mid-tier titles been removed from large publishers' line-ups (companies like Fox and Sony publish small movies). This doesn't apply to Wolfenstein and what this director can do but as a medium, I p...
