I'm going to have to disagree. I had the least fun with Pacific Rift (fun with a nice variety of environments but I found it be the most dull overall) and the most fun with Apocalypse. That game was insane fun.
I play both PC and PS4, but if you ever hear someone say "PC Masterrace", just show them this list. There seems to be as much casual PC players as there is casual console players (if not more). The PC market also seems utterly obsessed with first person games - to the detriment of everything else.
It will most likely be barely playable if it's anything like Just Cause 3 with its sub-20s framerate. One of the worst optimized games I've ever played.
It's been fairly poor on PC so far this year.
I'm going to support them so they can eventually do Dangerous Driving justice. This game does look like a lot of fun and a huge improvement over the original Danger Zone.
That doesn't account for digital sales.
The gameplay in the original R&C is pretty bad by comparison and 2 and 3 don't come close either. When was the last time you actually played it?
Gameplay-wise, it puts all the other R&C games to shame and I love A Crack In Time and R&C3. I hope they bring back the original sense of humour but "souless" is a bit extreme.
Wreckfest is coming out on PS4 later this year. That's probably going to be up your alley.
I don't typically tend to care that much about trophies/achievements. However, badly implemented trophies REALLY irritate me. When you play the whole way through a game and you have less than 10-15% of the trophies, it's hard not to wonder what the hell the developers were thinking. Occasionally when I really like a game then I feel that I'd like to earn a platinum for it (for perspective, I haven't gotten a platinum for 2-3 years now) or just a few more trophies. But then I...
I Am Mayo is a game that seems to have sold a large amount based solely upon a ludicrously easy platinum. PSNProfiles has been used by at least a few hundred thousand users and it's common for people to play abysmal games like Hannah Montana and mediocre movie tie-in games for easy platinums. It's a well known phenomenon among gamers even if most of us think that doing that is crazy. A study isn't really required to prove it. There's already enough evidence. You would need a s...
@--Onilink-- The Switch came out a whole decade after those platforms. I think we sometimes forgot how old they are due to their long lifespans.
I wouldn't say that it's a miracle. The New Order ran alright on PS3 and the 360 after all.
@Concertoine Most PS4 games can be played within 40 seconds or so of you putting the disc into the system. What PS4 games take 45 minutes to install?
@neutralgamer1992 I suppose people were expecting it to be the Ubisoft thing were they pump out an initial title that's borderline a proof-of-concept game and then they make a polished sequel. As a huge fan of Driver: San Francisco, I'm pissed that that franchise had to die for The Crew.
The Crew 2 seems more mediocre than was expected though. Still, it's kind of mad that Crash is outselling it considering this a late port as well.
Why? Nintendo's games have less of an emphasis on graphical detail and focus more on vibrant colours and simple designs. How would they get it to run?
Nah, he's right. There's an obsession with length in video-games and it leads to many games being jam-packed with low quality side quests and general filler. I have a friend who has played games like Elite: Dangerous and Warframe for close to 2000 hours each. That's good for him but not everyone is obsessed with endless amounts of "content" and replay-ability and would rather a higher quality, more deliberate 6-12 hour game. More people need to speak out about this; not ...
You're not particularly bright, Deep-throat.
In terms of the difficulty curve and general flow, the second game is much less of a straight line. There's a lot more highs and lows (it's less consistent and it's a lot longer). Overall, I preferred 2. it had more variety, increased violence, special abilities like dual weapons, a more insidious story, a better soundtrack, better art, etc. It was also way more challenging than 1 which I personally appreciated - it just felt like a natural progression in that regard.
