This is the problem with ignorance.
Um, selling at $29.99 seems to say otherwise.
Yeah, but remember, 1996 was 3 decades ago and people forget how long ago that was! Nobody wants to play these games anymore..........

Exactly.
@ fleece: Yeah, a simple question. I wanted to know so I could see for myself. Perhaps I'm interested. At no point did I make it personal, unlike him. Hence why I said what I said.
Being interested =/= emotionally invested in something. And regarding pancit - that's irrelevant, since A. He said "I think", unlike mrzeeman, and B. I commented on the post that I saw. So let's not look for things that aren't there.
@ mrzeeman: Ah, V...
Don't waste your typing. GT will always be a threat to people who prefer Forza. Since it is a FAR bigger brand, too, they will always find something to nitpick.
OT: Just waiting on launch! Let's go!
Where did I say Xbox was gonna die? I asked you for figures to show that the Xbox One is tracking ahead of its predecessor. Data. Facts. If you couldn't provide that, you could have just said that and saved yourself the trouble of the second post.....a post that shows you're too emotionally invested.
Any figures for this?
Sony did a fantastic job in the PS1 and 2 eras without either of them "breathing down their necks". They lost the last gen mainly due to themselves, but that's a topic for another day. Competition is fine, but it's not required from Microsoft for Sony to keep doing what they're doing.
It's been up for discussion. However, it doesn't mean that it's going anywhere. My only point would be, that if it isn't, things need to tighten in the exclusive games department.
Then why'd you comment?
Based on absolutely nothing beyond dreams/hopes/speculation. If generations should have taught you anything, it's that nothing is set in stone until all is said and done. Right now, you have no clue of either one of those machines and trying to make and absolute statements is as pointless as can be.
Yeah, it's definitely NOT a "beast" nor a "monster". I usually get a chuckle with those exaggerated terms (particularly from a select someone above). It's a commendable achievement for a console, I'll give it that, but all of these other wildly pushed terms are just too much.
Honestly, I've not had any real issues with the One X, just those that choose to talk it up/go overboard on the descriptions. If you're going to compare it to hi...
PlayStation doesn't have to "counter" anything (I'm glad Sony also understands this). Keeping make games, exclusive games in particular, and the pieces will continue to fall in place for the company.
But it won't, as the console won't be able to pull off what my machine can do. All it really does is offer Microsoft a chance to one-up the Pro, while trying offer PC-quality software at a fraction of the price. No one knows if it will succeed or fail, yet, but one thing it doesn't feel like is closing any substantial distance between itself and monster PCs.
Forza has a sharper/cleaner look, but "smoked GT" it does not. What's more - I'm not seeing the huge step up over Forza 6: Apex on PC and DRIVECLUB can easily go toe-to-toe with both GT Sport and Forza 7.
It has no trouble AT ALL beating Project Cars 2. Regarding Forza 7, it'll be a tougher fight, but GT's cars always look more impressive than any other racer, to me. The premium cars of GT5 were in a class by themselves in 2010.
Tough time? No. But DRIVECLUB stands toe-to-toe with it. That's the point he's making. Yes, the shine of 4K is a sight to be sure, but outside of that, the individual details are hardly any major steps above either DRIVECLUB or Forza 6: Apex on PC.
In a word: no.
