Indeed. Never mind SO, they have the pedigree and have had it!
@ Gemmol: How is he wrong (and now ultimately yourself, as well)?
Um...
"Uncharted? Gran Turismo? Or some other 10 hour interactive movie"?
Why would anyone take this seriously? Sony makes much more than Uncharted and GT and most of their experiences are anything BUT mere "interactive movies".
So stop.
You and him will remain part of the problem. As long as Microsoft knows that they have plenty of people like you who are seemingly "okay" with a lack of exclusive, In-House, content, they'll continue to provide less. Forget the partisanship - you should WANT them to put up a better fight, as they did with the 360. Nothing wrong with liking the Forzas, Gears(s), and Halos of the world, but if that's all they provide (and all you ask for), then that's all you'll ever g...
Well said. Although, the original Xbox was stronger than the PS2, but similar results will come as to what came of that. The One X (as with the original Xbox) will have the best console multiplatform titles (for the rest of gen 8 - the clock restarts when the next PlayStation and Xbox are set to release, joining the Switch in Gen 9), but in the larger scheme, it will matter very little.
Indeed. But then, as I'm sure you know, the new piggybacked term for the gen is "downgrade". Happens every gen. Last was "generic". Next, there will surely be something else.
Just based on the nonsense you posted about "interactive "movies", if you can't find anything else Sony makes, it's clear that you're the last person I should expect a reasonable viewpoint from.
"Nintendo will always be king when it comes to exclusives"
- In your view, perhaps. In mine, they're a step behind Sony.
Yeah, as iterative consoles, and it was really because of the 4K craze vs just wanting "more power". As I said, wanting more is nothing new and the mid-gen upgrade feature may not always be a thing in the future.
Developers always ask for power. They got that with the PS4 and have thrived all gen.
Not for Nintendo or Sony. No.
You have to do better than that. WW, the numbers weren't even close. Just stop.
OT: If it didn't matter, these companies wouldn't keep doing it, Pachter.
Not necessarily, because they don't have the history that Crash does. If Microsoft is to revive those franchises, it should be based on the principle(s) of bringing back said franchise (and due to fan request), NOT due to the success of Crash Bandicoot on PlayStation (its home).
Wel said!
Most people don't.
Lulz! Perfection!
Which division in gaming makes more money? I mean, this shouldn't need to even be brought up, but I find that defenders of Xbox often leave The Door Of irony wide open for visitors.
Time to get with the program, I'm afraid.
Uh, Sony very much gave out numbers last gen.
When you're getting your butt handed to you, it can much harder to disclose this stuff (especially with the amount of trash talk we saw from people like Aaron Greenburg, last gen).
False, which is obvious, since most Sony games don't play anything like the Uncharted series nor The Last Of Us.
