And this what I've been saying about this whole "power struggle". It won't an ounce a difference to the bottom line. Sony is going to continue to kill it!

Please go gripe somewhere else. You don't pull this nonsense in the circle-jerk Xbox One X articles posted every other day.

OT: I have the majority of those games! Has been a hell of generation!

And how is that relevant to this discussion In fact, how has that helped Microsoft since 2001? Sony continues to dominate them.

I'll be sure to revisit this topic when Sony posts their holidays figures. Stop trying to convince yourself that you have a clue.

I love how some of you suddenly know what most PC gamers are running in their systems. With 1070s/80s our in the wild, PLENTY of PC gamers have better cards than a 960.

"Much bigger name worldwide". Yeah, you don't build a brand without exclusives. You can't just call the PlayStation bigger without factoring in WHY it is bigger. It's exclusive software is a big reason for that.

As for PC, if they were only for gaming, I might agree. Since the primary purpose of a console IS gaming, that point is moot. Call it tired all you want. The experts agree with my view of things.

Exclusives are a HUGE cause for multiple machines, though I didn't say that was the only reason. However, if people bought PlayStation and Xbox for the exact same reasons, one of them wouldn't be battering the other so soundly. The Switch also batters the Xbox on a monthly and weekly basis. Pretty obvious why that is. Eliminating availability, accessibility, and price leaves us with exclusives. Many in the industry agree. Again, not rocket science.

But, you can cont...

Which is irrelevant. Selling less than multiplatform games doesn't mean that companies shouldn't focus on their own exclusive software. On PlayStation, those kinds of games don't have to sell big numbers (even though most AAA Sony exclsuives sell what they need to continue to thrive). People invest in the platform because it offers those + many, many more (exclusively, at that). That is how you build a gaming portfolio. Not mostly depend on titles that your competitors will also h...

Then show us these "numbers".... Don't present a blanket statement and provide nothing to back it up. PlayStation gamers have always had a taste for those sorts of games. It's why Sony continues to provide them, while Microsoft continues to promise you the world, while handing you a sliver of a City. When they start making ANY more games besides their Xbox "Trinity", we can talk about numbers.

OT: Games are a form of art. Yes. That much is obviou...

If you have a PC and a Pro, you're not missing out on anything the Xbox has to offer.

OT: It's like the dev said, it alll depends on the framerate. The most demanding games will still only have true justice on PC (at least for Native 4K + 60fps). Very few 4K/60fps games on the X and I don't expect that to change much. But it will certainly have quite a bit of Native 4K titles @ 30fps. I expect next gen consoles to better serve that purpose.

Where did he signify happiness in the slightest? He made a valid point, and it's for obvious reasons. PlayStation is BIG in Japan, where this sort of game is big. Of course Xbox won't excel there and that's why it won't receive the kind of love from Japanese devs that PlayStation will.

@ Jinger: I made it clear that I was being light-hearted about it. Don't ironically call people names while trying to be the Internet police. It's not becoming.

Hopefully, you don't mind this stance when PS4 fans say it about stuff like Devil May Cry 5. Sony should lock that to PC and PS4 only (which sounds like it's happening, anyway)!

Only fair, right?

Yup. As with all multiplatform games, you have to get a PC to experience the best! That's why I've been trying to curb the X hyperbole. It's an immensely powerful system, no doubt, but it's NOT some Godsend game-changer. PUBG + 60fps = only on a decently powered rig!

Be nice! :D

Clearly you haven't played it. 4K will not fix the idea that it just isn't a pretty game.

Not "badly" optimized. There's no such thing. It's UN-OPTIMIZED that you're looking for. :P

And really, it's combo of both that and the feature-set is demanding.

Definitely puts a dent in the "Xbox One X is as powerful as most rigs" talk. The talk of refinement is key, because it sounds like they tried and it just wasn't efficient. For that, you need a powerful PC. My rig, as powerful as it is, saw some key frame drops here and there (and I'm above 60fps already). So I knew both Xbox consoles were going to struggle with it.

The whole "don't screw up with 1st Party Studios" talk is hysterical. It isn't Sony you have to worry about, in this regard.

ANYWAY, good to see a new face ready to do work! 2018 will be an especially HUGE year for SIE, so I expect his work to be great!
