"A lot of us now have the choice to play games the way their meant to be played"
Then you run and hide from PC gamers that curb-stomp this sort of talk.
OT: Yes, Xbox needs to do MUCH better going forward. A beefier Pro (and little else) isn't going to cut it. Bring back original Xbox and Xbox 360 classics like Breakdown and Project Gotham Racing while also providing something new and fresh and things can start to look up, in my view. Righ...
@ Shortsorpants: "Someone like me". Golden! Sorry if I'm here to talk about what could be versus what won't ever be. And If you were just going to cop-out of the discussion, you shouldn't have quoted me to begin with. ;)
In any event, it doesn't matter what people want/don't want. The origin of his discussion, multiple platforms, is based on a fallacy (someone posts that first and it's based on nothing tangible). Thus, his, "people don...
@ Imalwayswrong: You clearly don't know what IP rights are. Trademarks are protected under said rights. Under IP law, Sony, not Kojima Productions, own the rights to Death Stranding.
Unlike Heavy Rain, for example, which is 100% Quantic Dream's property, despite Sony publishing the game. In this case, Sony has both IP and Publishing Rights.
Wrong. Sony America Trademarked Death Stranding (and the engine the game uses is 100% proprietary - i.e. also Sony's). That's all we know about the property. Nothing else has been said about future games in the franchise.
People really should research this before quoting.
@ Shortsorpants: No. It's irrelevant, like I said. His entire discussion is based on a fallacy. The game isn't going multiplatform. So to talk about it like it is says that's all he wants to focus on.
The only reason people are talking about it is because of the first comment in here, but if you've been following the comments, and saw my link to the Trademark, you'd know just how irrelevant it is. The announcement won't have anything to do with plat...
It's not about a want. Doesn't matter what you, nor I, want. They trademarked the property. Simple as that.
That considered, the discussion is irrelevant, because it has nothing to do with the story.
Uh, Sony trademarked the game. It is a property of SIE.
https://www.trademarkia.com...
Research, my friend. Use it.
Your PC specs are irrelevant. Sony owns the property. Want the game? Buy a PlayStation.
No. Owned by Sony.
To be the hottest system of a year, since we're talking about sales, you have to be the best selling system. In 2017, that was the PS4 with relative ease. I know you like to just post whatever to get a reaction out of people, but even for you, that's pretty bad.
OT: I expect the Switch and PS4 to fight for top spot in December.
Ghost of Tsushima - new AAA release unveiled
Invalidates much of what you're saying on the basis that you're either lying about watching the show, don't know what game unveils have AAA budgets, or choose ignorance. Pick your poison.
Many people didn't read the full transcript. He did not say exclusives don't matter. He said, this late in a console cycle, exclusives aren't going to sway one console over the other. People have made up their minds on what machine they're going for (and, in essence, who will remain the FIRM market leader). He even acknowledges the importance of exclusives, going as far to talk about Halo's necessity and how an Xbox without it is far and away a different box than an Xbox w...
@ morganfell: I know what it means. It's a positive, not a negative, hence why I said "better and better". Spider-Man, right now, is probably close to Gold status.
Um, it's Spider-Man. It doesn't need any name change at all.
OT: This just gets better and better!
@ DARK: It's noticeable, but it's not big. Do the math very closely. You won't notice it like, let's say, 720p vs 1080p, where the difference is massive.
Project CARS 2? lol
And I've played Forza 7. Like the reviewers stated - it's a pretty picture, but lacks the sim accuracy of GT. Sport has its issues, no doubt, but gameplay isn't one of them. It usually isn't in a GT game.
No.
Interesting. Reviewers I read said that GT Sport was the best looking racing game they'd played. Sport had issues, but visuals wasn't one of them.
At the same time, the last thing you should do is compare Forza to it. The latest barely sold to anyone. Obviously, "true racing" and "true 4K" are not big selling points. If you had any kind of business sense, you'd know that. Publishers care about the bottom line ($), not review scores.
The Switch can't "easily" sell more. No matter what scenario we're talking. The PS4 has already cleared 70 million in 4 years (with 2018 likely to be another monstrous year). Let's say. by the end of 2018, the PS4 crosses 90 million (very likely) and the Switch sells 25 million (possible, but I don't see it selling that much in 2018 without something massive). It would still take a serious slowdown of PS4 sales and the Switch would have to do 25 million for the next ...
@Imalwayswrong: I already proved you wrong. A Trademark, particularly Registered, is a form of IP protection. It's not "separate" from Intellectual Property. I work in this field, and know so the ins, outs, and legalities - but gamers tend to use the terms incorrectly. Yes, a Trademark can protect a name, but it can also protect a combination of a design, word, phrase, name, etc... It is still a protection of the IP by SIE. That's what the Trademark is for. In Intellectual P...
