I paid 60ish quid if I recall, here in the UK, no regrets either, belting game.
Superb game and I am sure it will be in the conversation but this seems a bit premature as statements go. Pretty silly thing to say in my opinion.
Depends on your feelings on exclusives really. Personally, I still believe that fundamentally, exclusives are what drives the success of a platform.
More exclusives drive console sales, which in turn drives investment in new exclusives which in turn drives more consoles, and on and on it goes.
I can see some logic in releasing some titles to PC after they have served there purpose, maybe Bloodborne on PC after all this time is worth considering for Sony...
It really does feel like Sony are leaving money on the table here. You have to figure a PS5 remake would fly off the shelves.
It should be added that we still don't know what MicroSoft's position on pricing will be because they have yet to publish a Microsoft product yet this generation, but I fancy we will find that they will also land on 70 quid a game too.
I do agree with petey that £70 is a lot of cash but I would suggest that the right approach, if you genuinely care about the health of the gaming industry, is to be more selective about which games you buy at launch and which yo...
Agreed.
I had a fantastic session yesterday. Having played about 25-30 runs of the first level, feeling myself getting better each time, gradually getting closer to beating Phrike, I finally beat her and then somehow went all the way through the second world and beat that boss on my first attempt, my god I felt like a boss, like I was operating on another level than usual...world 3 soon brought that high to a crashing halt though :)
Now going through the...
Hate to pour cold water on this, but this Trade Mark Registration is probably more to do with protecting the IP rights they already have rather than an indication of intent on the part of Sony. It is far easier to keep a trade mark protected than let it lapse and lose any face a few years down the line when a third party decides to make a game with the same or similar title.
It should be noted that Sony haven't applied for a new TM, they have simply renewed the existin...
Physical copy dispatched, I shall be blasting away over this bank holiday weekend.
Very excited to play, congrats to all at Housemarque for what appears to be a sure fire hit.
It was a great game, but I felt it got a little repetitive. I would defo play a sequel though.
I have it preordained and I am really excited to play the game. I really rate Housemarque and find their games supremely playable, I love the art style, it looks to have very high production values and so it really does tick all the boxes for me.
This looks like it will be so much fun to play, happy to support these dev as I have enjoyed so much of their work over the years.
And you have one of the ugliest outlooks I have seen in recent memory.
Why would the characters physical appearance come into the equation? Are you honestly suggesting it would be a better game if you were sexually attracted to the protagonist?
Your comment reeks of insecurity because the devs opted for a female protagonist, that this somehow translates into an 'agenda'; unless of course you can enlighten me as to why you think the game may have ...
I acknowledge that devs get "something" out of these deals, my point is, devs would get a lot more if people who claim to be excited to try a particular product bought it without MS taking a cut.
Kind of depressing to hear people express excitement for some of these titles but would rather wait to get them through a subscription rather than support developers from the outset and buy their games.
Because it costs money for what will amount to little to no profit. These are old games and whilst I am desperate for updates to my favourite PlayStation games like everyone else, I don't feel like I am entitled to them. If I get an update to a game then that's a bonus but I paid for most of these games many years ago for an old system and I more than got my moneys worth out of them.
I wouldn't say Bethesda developed games suck, but I cannot say that I pine for their next release either. They well and truly have gone off the boil and have a lot to prove before I start worrying that I might miss out on anything considered essential.
I wouldnt say it's a hidden feature, but something that is cool is that the button also mutes the mic on your headphones if you are using the PS5 Pulse headset.
I thought it was a really decent single player game personally and was a graphical showcase at the time. The multilayer was fantastic and my mates and I poured hundreds of hours into it, great fun!
Cracking game in my opinion and the sequel is so under appreciated. I don't necessarily see the issue with talking about older games like this but I can see the point others are making, it does highlight just how poor MS's output is.
Overall, I really enjoyed the game, as a Star Wars game it is excellent. The main criticism I had was that the combat was quite button mashy and it was often difficult to parry as the enemy animation just wasn't as good as the likes of Bloodborne or a Souls game.
Still a fantastic game overall, but don't expect the combat to be a seamless as some other 3rd person melee games.
Blockbuster killed off all of the local movie rental places in the area I lived. Those local places are what I am nostalgic for, the cool posters they would give away when finished with, the business owners who knew about movies and could recommend cool films etc.
