Well I will be buying the PS4k, I have had 3 fantastic years of entertainment from my launch ps4, countless hours in total, as a value proposition its impossible for me to feel like I have been ripped off by Sony. The prospect of better performance and potentially 4k output on my new TV while still playing in the PlayStation eco system I love sounds awesome to me.

I enjoyed Sunset but the humour got tiresome after a while and the game got very repetitve. There were far to many collectibles and the same sidequests appeared countless times. Mi set out really enjoying it and hoping to 100% it but in the end I just burnt out before even completing it.

If anything it make me glad I got in on the ground floor. I have had thousands of hours of gaming from my PS4 over the last 3 years and while I am more than happy with how it performs (Dark Souls 3 runs and looks great for example) the prospect of an upgrade is very exciting to me.
I guess if I were not in a position to afford and upgrade I might feel differently to be fair, but as it is.......sign me up.

I disagree. I have a very wide circle of friends and colleagues who all play games, mostly on PS4. All bar one of them never look at gaming websites or gaming news. The average console gamer is not like you or I who spend time commenting on game forums let alone look at PC news and capabilities. They certainly arent comparing PC games against consoles.

I have a decent enough PC but still spend 95% of my gaming time on PS4. Why? Because I love the Playstation ecosystem, the trophies, my friends, its ease of use, no config problems and crashes, no pissing about with settings constantly wondering if a game is running as well as is could/should.

Netflix do support 4K, I have it through the app on my smart TV. If a compatible device were released (PS4K) I am sure an updated Netflix app would quickly follow.

Its easy to state that its all about the money, and I am sure that is a factor but I dont know why its so hard to believe that they have a good working relationship with MS. If they enjoy working with MS then more power to them, just as is the case with the many 2nd and 3rd party developers who choose to work with Sony.
Exactly the same here, I watched E3 last June and thought "fair play that line up of exclusives looks great" and bought the XB1 on my birthday a few weeks later.
Now everything is coming to PC so I basically wasted 300 quid, I am not impressed. MS knew what they were doing, deliberately misleading the consumer.
My son doesnt mind, he now has a XB1 sat alongside his PS4 as I just never use it.

I feel like Sony are really hitting their stride now, they are knocking out great exclusive games at a regular intervals on top of a constant stream of great timed indie exclusives.
