Excellent post, I agree completely.
Uncharted has never been a particularly grounded experience and there has always been a disconnect between Drake's characterisation and the gameplay. In cut scenes he is a somewhat clumsy adventurer whereas he is the ultimate badass in gameplay sequences.
I loved every minute of Uncharted 4 and never, not once, did the story or characters feel forced. Until this completely bunk story appeared I hadnt heard anyone complain about the female characters. In fact I think...
Its like they are ignoring money by not remastering Red Dead. A release for current gen and PC would make an absolute killing I reckon.
I have visited N4G since for many, many years but the change in how the site operates has really made me think about going elsewhere. If its not pathetic articles like this getting approved its complete pillocks spewing nonsense in the comments section.
To my mind Drake is very much his own character and has nothing at all in common with Lara or Indy.
Both Lara and Indy were in it for the archeology, they followed their path to find relics for museums not personal wealth or gain wheras Drake was simply a thief looking to make his fortune. Drake didnt care about the artifacts he was searching for other than what price they might fetch.
To me, this difference in motivation does make for a stark contrast ...
Sorry to laugh but.....Team Bondage! Hahahahaha
Its impossible for me to choose between any of them, they are all incredible titles that, at the time of release, seemed groundbreaking. I loved the story and set pieces in 2 but then the set pieces in 3 were even better again in my opinion, I loved the variety of locations in 3 too.
Clearly 4 sets new standards in story telling, acting and visuals but the thing I loved most was that it seemed more mature while still keeping to the spirit of Uncharted and Drake. Some have...
Finished it 15 minutes ago......as a HUGE Uncharted fan all I can say is, Uncharted 4 is definately a 10 out of 10 for me, its incredible.
I am now on my Collectible run on crushing, what a flipping game, what a series.......thank you Naughty Dog, thank you for my favourite series.
To be fair, your comment is just as ill founded and baseless as some of the other comments made in this discussion. There has been just as much nonsense spouted from sections of the xbox community over the years. Feel free to take a look at my comment history, I identify myself as a predominantly Playstation gamer yet I have always tried to conduct myself with respect for others. Don't tar us all with the same brush please.
You using this article as an opportunity t...
I dont use IGN so I am not aware of Lucy's likes and dislikes, her gaming experience or her capabilities as a journalist. I read the review out of interest, it seemed well constructed and an honest personal opinion about a game I am dying too play.
Seems to me thats its insane to go crazy over .2 of point after all, if this had been a 9 out of 10 review nothing would have been said, I suspect.
Like all reviews, even the extremely positive ones, I ne...
Errrm, not sure what you are referring to squire. No damage to control as far as I can see and if there was it wouldn't be for me to worry about.
I just expressed a personal opinion, I have played every BF title, its amongst my favourite series and it has ALWAYS been about the multiplayer. If you want to be infantile then go right ahead.
I have bought every Battlefield and expansion since 1942 and never cared when the titles shipped without a campaign. Battlefield is all about the multiplayer for me.
As long as it has a Platinum trophy I will blast through the campaign so I will be happy if it is relatively short, but its the MP I am salivating over, it looks incredible.
Battlefield 1942 is my all time fave online shooter, hope this is a return to this setting.
I wouldnt say I am done with it as I had a great time with BF4, but I agree, ww2 - Vietnam era would be amazing.
What the hell kind of statement is "gametype - Playstation 4 bragging point'?
Really dislike Kotaku.
Its going to be something special to beat TLoU but I a dont find it difficult to believe, coincidentally, I haven't been this excited for a game since The Last of Us launch. There is nothing quite like a Naughty Dog release although Rockstar titles get me super excited too.
It is entirely subjective and this is his opinion so its not like its an invalid statement. I wont read it as I am on a media blackout now but I am excited to hear such positive comments.
I thought it was actually a pretty great boss fight, more original than the 'shoot the glowing weak point on the baddie' that you usually see. Mind you, beating him on crushing was an exercise in patience and perseverance, totally made the Platinum feel rewarding.
Would love a reboot of the Spiro games personally as I somehow missed this series originally but it always appealed to me.
Completely disingenuous comment I think. Female characters are relatively new to gaming, the majority of games still stick with male protagonists. I can only think of a handfull of games where you play a female character so of course, when one does turn up female games will likely hope to see an interesting, but positive characterisation.
Where Trevor is concerned, I think its fair to say he was a pretty unpleasant, extreme and OTT character. He was great fun to play wi...
