This article highlights just how well Sony have done in respect of software support for the PS4.
My personal top 5 would probably be Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Horizon, God of War and Nioh, but this could change on a daily basis given the breadth and quality of the console exclusive games, Bloodborne will always be top of my list though.
It has nothing at all to do with eating into the profit margins of remasters, it is purely down to economics. The cost of developing a software solution to enable PS3 games to run on PS4 cannot be justified, it really is that simple.
I know I will get disagrees for this, but I am excited at the prospect of a remaster of Bloodborne when PS5 comes about, mainly so I can go for a 2nd platinum trophy.
I cannot imagine not playing the likes of Spiderman, God of War, Detroit, Fist of the North Star, Yakuza, Dragons Quest 11 etc.
I never said I went out and bought it day 1, but I genuinely enjoyed the COD campaigns so I would buy them a couple of months after release when they were around £30 (40 dollars).
I know I am an outlier, that COD isn't really a product aimed at me, so I understand why the campaign has been cut but I can still feel a little disappointed and as per my previous statement, it is still a sale lost.
Well as someone who doesn't play online or zombies, Activision lost a sale once the single player content was axed and I say that as a consumer who has all of the COD PS4 titles on my shelf.
I assume Activision have figures which demonstrate that the amount of people playing single player (or not as the case may be) makes it difficult to justify the development costs of creating a single player campaign, but I am quite sad about it personally as I always enjoyed a good ...
Know that would be a great collection of games for sure. My only gripe with these games was how difficult they got by the time you were two thirds of the way through the campaign.
Shame they included those online trophies, this is one game I won't be seeking a platinum trophy for.
I always felt that Saboteur was under appreciated, I really did like that game a lot. It was a real shame when Pandemic got shut down.
My own take on streaming is that it is years away. It's clear that people who are serious about their games, the target audience for these kinds of service, are generally quite demanding in respect of image quality, frame rate and tight controls.
Currently, the size of the market who have an internet connection that would deliver an experience on a par with physical consoles is zero, and even 10 years from now, that number will be a fraction of the overall worldwide ga...
Crazy how varied the reviews for Tomb Raider are, I definitely want to play it but it is up against some stiff competition.
This is awesome, two truly amazing games. When I see games like this added to the BC library it does make me long for an equivalent service from Sony.
I have a PS3 sat under the tv and I have all the remastered MGS games but it's not plugged in as all 4 HDMI sockets are in use. It would great to just play them on my PS4.
No question, BC is a nice feature.
With MS's backing they could be locked into making games they don't want to, loose all creative control of their projects or even find themselves shuttered after a few years.
The trouble is, the kind of spin and lies that originate from Xbox marketing seems to be more acceptable to their American audience, they seem to have a higher tolerance for it, just look at their politicians and Trump.
The rest of the world see right through that bullshit and that's why Xbox fail to gain traction globally. I am not suggesting that all Americans are accepting of these practices of course, but certainly, there is a higher tolerance for spin and market...
The Xbox brand lost momentum 10+ years ago where new, exciting exclusives are concerned. Spencer was a part of that old regime too, what momentum are you talking about?
I think FPS's have had their day too though. They just aren't as popular as they once were, even HALO has seen diminishing returns with each release. If you look at the biggest successes they are all games with strong narrative (in respect of single player games), with the biggest online shooters favouring 3rd person perspective.
Don't get me wrong, plenty of people enjoy first person shooters, but I think their hayday has passed.
I think this game looks better with each gameplay video that I see. It has made me consider going back an replaying the first two titles too.
Not sure I would call them RPGs though personally.
Fun to joke about this set of circumstances, you should be on stage.
These aren't "sick people", they are dying you vile scumbag!
You are a vile human being, simply vile!!!
In every instance where this has happened, the story has been generated by the fan or their family. If you honestly believe games companies are looking for terminally ill fans to use as part of their PR strategy you are seriously barking up the wrong tree.
A company hear of such a request and respond as you would expect. In this instance 2 representatives turn up and do what they can for this poor guy, no media ...
I flipping loved MAG, it's a real shame it was supported with more maps as it was only the boredom of playingbthecsame maps that stopped me playing past the first 9 to 12 months.
