I'll wait for direct-feed comparison shots.
simply because its CPU/RAM requirements aren't all that big and it has several years of support underneath it. It's stable and I don't have to worry about compatibility issues. I'll probably have to upgrade to a new computer within a few years, and even then I'll most likely stick with XP.
JasonXG1 obviously doesn't know what he's talking about though. The PC market is fairly saturated, and the high majority of consumers don't like to constantly upgrade. That means Vista is gu...
Too bad MS spent an entire year copying the competition to get those features out the door. Well, ok they didn't Really copy. The Elite uses HDMI 1.2, while PS3 uses HDMI 1.3 AND Optical output. Still uses DVD. I wonder what color the next 360 is going to be...
on computers that don't exist yet. Nice.
Damn, this guy just needs to suck it up and learn how to use console controllers. To me, Keyboard and Mouse is just archaic for shooters. What a loser. The entire article was just him saying "Mehr, controllers are hard, mehr", and had nothing to do with Halo per se.
Gears has Aliasing issues, texture loading issues (seeing normal maps load in real-time was pretty sad), and doesn't really have much going on. It's a small, corridor shooter, while Resistance has enormous environments that stretch for miles. Gears has superior art direction and benefits from its gameplay in that it only has to show a small amount at a time, and it does have a better lighting system than Resistance. Resistance wins in animation, physics, AI and all that other snazzy stuff tho...
"Our AI characters used to be able to bounce grenades off 5 different walls to land directly at your feet. The challenge has been in making them fallible."
I can imagine the testers were like "WTF!!" whenever this happened to them. I mean, it's bad enough when we pull this crap in Halo. Nice to see that they're getting great results out of PS3.

Superior polygon counts, superior lighting and texturing. I'm not sure why these comparison screenshots were put out though considering everyone knows the PS3's more powerful. I g...
and based off the previews and footage I've seen far, it looks like it'll have no trouble finding an audience. I'm actually not surprised that a lot of people are confused over a 3rd party dev explaining that PS3 is superior hardware. There's been so much FUD spread over the past two years that it's hard at times to figure out what's real and what's not.
Luckily, the exclusive titles are really starting to show off what Sony's platform is capable of.
You're gonna make him cry. =P

simply because there's no controller involved.
because they felt that GTA would "tarnish their public image". What a laugh riot.
But they're on the Microsoft side, not Sony side. If it wasn't for their cash flow, MS would have dropped out of the console war 5 years ago.
I thought this was supposed to be a good thing.
This same programmer stated at B3D that all of the AI data for Heavenly Sword is stored and processed on a single SPU, and never has to touch XDR RAM thanks to Local Storage (256KB per SPU).
What it really comes down to is everything from bad marketing/press to poor game selection, as well as previous experiences with the Xbox consoles. The first one suffered from a lot of bad publicity due to faulty hardware, so that obviously affected the popularity of both Xbox and Xbox 360.
Then again, the Blu-ray entertainment theaters I see set up at electronics stores (Best Buy and Circuit City specifically) indicate that context doesn't matter. If Product A sells better than Product B, retailers will put most of their focus on Product A. It doesn't matter if PS3 is the main reason that Product A is winning.
*I have yet to see an HD-DVD Home Theater setup at these places, and the Blu-ray aisle has 2~3 times more titles to select from.
"There's no new games because Sony just wants to force their unproven DVD format onto us." Then again, once Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 2 were released, they sort of shut up about that.
actually got in this Beta, so that's pretty sweet.
