Now that tech is evolving, really think they should not only add this back, but incorporate an option to immediately log into your personal home space on the login screen. Literally get right in and immerse yourself if you so choose. People spend so much time in gta showing off their properties to friends so just imagine an official PS destination for similar features. Potential is near limitless.
Not due to the lack of meaningful sidequests and progression/depth? This is a waste of a franchise. Monster Hunter Stories is an excellent template for them to go off since GF seems to lack originality
Really wanted Sony to take an approach with it similar to how Greedfall’s shaping up. More RPG elements and depth.
Yea I was expecting more of a story driven rpg based on the original Dragon Ball prior to Dragon Ball Z. Those adventures with Goku were less about overpowered combat and more about him growing. Seems like a more logical starting point

Game Freak doesn’t need to worry about graphics. They need to evolve their gameplay loop. Add quests, story (similar to the anime) rpg systems and provide a better emphasis on breeding. So much potential not being utilized. Should consult with the Xenoblade Devs to be honest.
That’s great, then adding the features I mentioned can add hundreds of hours more. People put several hundred hours into Skyrim & Monster Hunter to name two off the top.
With the money they make it’s literally disrespectful that they don’t add some meat to these games that would be overall quality of life improvements. Not rocket science to realize that adding quests, some better story elements, and worlds the size and depth of Xenoblade or Horizon Zero Dawn would revolutionize the genre. It would be a win win for fans plus for the shareholders they seem to prioritize pleasing. Quests could even be some simple ass shit such as going out to catch a pokemon for...
So I understand correctly, is the local/online co-op the full single player story except with a friend? Or is it also a separate mode similar to the 2-5 player movie mode
If only all developers had this same philosophy, gaming would be on a whole other level.

Cygames (before they blow up), Level-5, Techland Platinum or FromSoftware (owned already but they could buy them out).
This is the 3rd time they’ve raised it though.
From Software & Level 5 should be at the top of their list based on what their current 1st party portfolio is lacking. Techland & Insomniac as well but those are less likely based on their preference of being independent.
Was playing Horizon Zero Dawn last night & was like wow, if only Game Freak properly ran their development division we could have a Pokemon world just like HZD. They lack creativity and vision big time.
Until they invest more talent and money into revamping the dna it will never reach it’s full potential. They need to add story & fun quests/progression to this franchise. Rinsing and repeating the same “catch em all & battle 8 gym leaders with a lack of difficulty setting” has ran it’s course.
Would much rather have them focus on story, exploration and quests in future entries rather than including every Pokemon. It’s the quality of the experience not the quantity. They could add so many hours of quality content if they add more meaningful tasks to do. Could employ Xenoblade staff to help with this.
