And sometimes people have to defend positions that they don't believe in because it's what their company demands. It's all spin control. I'm sure we can all think of some PR nonsense that some corporate talking head has spouted about their game or console, which you immediately think sounds absurd.
We don't know that it was Kojima's decision to replace Hayter. That could have been a mandate handed down by Konami that he was forced to stand behind.
Well that's unnecessary.
@darthv72: No, that would just make the gap widen faster than it is currently.
Apparently the author had no experience with the actual board game that this remake is based upon. Many of their issues with the game are related to it being faithful to the original mechanics. The target audience of this game would consider that a positive rather than a negative.
Agreed. Pass.
@Genuine-Aussie: I flatly refute that the service is wanted by everyone. Once again, here are the arguments against EA Access:
For $30 a year, you get 10% off digital EA games, which means you have to buy six EA games a year to get your money's worth. And it only applies to digital games so you can't even trade them in when you're done. They're discouraging physical sales over digital where they get a much greater margin.
You get early access,...
It's articles like this that really make me think that we need a "Clickbait" report type.
The Xbox One and PS4 are "current gen" rather than "next gen".
@Jmanzare: I pity Don Mattrick, who had to be the public face of the company line and was paraded out as a sacrificial lamb for the whole gaming community to tear apart. Everyone seems to forget that he responded to a board of directors and the shareholders when strategies and policies were laid out for the Xbox One. It's not like he went rogue and implemented a DRM policy then held a gun to EA's head to be a partner in his schemes.
That said, he was terrible in front...
This article is right up there with articles linking music or Dungeons and Dragons with Satanism. Its getting ridiculous.
Guh. I don't know how they haven't been sued for false advertising by naming their company "Codemasters". They tend to make awful, buggy games.
With an opening line like that, how am I supposed to take anything you say at face value? There are plenty of exclusives for the PS4 in addition to the remasters which are still new to those who didn't own a PS3. Why would you want to take away choice from the players?
Really? I don't know why this is even an article. If the author liked Deus Ex: Human Revolution, then perhaps they should remember that it was *also* delayed, and that turned out to be a great game.

@uth11: More like when he gets hit with a cease and desist order.
Unfortunately, Halo 5 and Rise of the Tomb Raider didn't exactly set sales records either.
Destroy all Humans!
@DarkOcelet: I think you mean these games wouldn't be in our lives if it wasn't for Alone in the Dark. :)
"TR was the VERY FIRST TPS action adventure ever made."
Wait, what? You're saying that before 1996 there were no third person games ever? That's just not correct. Without even doing indepth research I remember Fade to Black (the sequel to Flashback), and that was published in 1995. I'm sure that wasn't the first either.
Or Rogue Galaxy 2. I'd take either and be grateful. :)
