CPU-wise, it was and every single console this gen (even up to the Xbox One X) used the under powered Jaguar from AMD. It was a relatively crap processor even for it's time back in 2013. Going from the Jaguar to a Zen 2 is astronomical.
With a new current gen CPU, 2TB SSD+ all the rest, no way for anything less than 500 with 600 a real possibility if tariffs are put in place.
We won't get any til the December event.

They can't tell me what to do, they're not my real dad.
They really better not bungle the PS5 and turn it into an Xbox One filled with crappy features that no one asked for nor uses.
Yeah because fair consumer practices are frowned upon in your world? This is why the gaming world is where its at today. People supporting fractured experiences via loot boxes, exclusive DLC and crap. If this is how Square will operate DQ11, I may as well not even buy DQ12 when the time comes, why would I? Who knows where the definitive edition is going to end up on.
Same thing with FF7 Remake. If you don't pre-order, you miss out on 2 pre-order bonus summons. Want the...
It's things like this that annoy me. If you're going to release a definitive edition, do it across every platform you released it on. Don't pigeon hole it to one system. A lot of these features can be easily added to the PC and PS4 but for whatever reason they decided not to.
It's about time. It's honestly the only thing holding back my opinion of HL2. I mean, realistic physics but the NPC's don't blink? Deal breaker for me.
You're right the OG box art wasn't that great. Nevertheless, it's still an iconic image of the original game and this first part needs to reflect it. They can go nuts in the next parts.
Makes more sense than the previous Sephiroth one.
I would totally buy into Stadia....If Google could provide me with cheap gigabit internet..
Why do you even care what others do with their money? Does it really keep you up at night? Do you even understand how much work there is to be done on a full remake? No, you're just an armchair scrub who thinks games magically grow out of the ground and stores just have to pick it and sell it.
The lip sync issue is more than likely an encoding problem.
People blow tens of thousands of dollars on crappy mobile games and you're questioning this? A game that some people have waited and wished for since 2000? This is our Unicorn, our Halflife 3, so if it comes in 3,5 or 7 parts, so be it. And if price were really such an issue, games DO fall in price and go on sale you know?
I know right? I just bought FF8 remastered and although it's nostalgic to play, the random battles (I know I can turn it off) and the turn based fighting (I know I can speed it up) are so annoying. It would have been stupid for them to have made the FF7:RE to be a direct 1:1 copy.
I can barely tell the difference between FIFA 20 and "Soccer" for the NES back in 85.

I'm waiting for my Zork remaster.
This whole game risks being more annoying than fun.
