I'd rather they wait a year or two and really nail the design and price instead of just throwing everything at us up front.
If the single player campaign is sizable and good, I'll get it and maybe even try out the MMO portion which I'm guessing is what they're betting on people doing.
I bought an Xbox One on release day and regretted the hell out of that purchase. However, the new series X is a bit more appealing but only purely for the Xbox Games Pass. Had it not had that, I probably wouldn't care.
Those trees really need some work though. I think this is just a PS4 limitation with so many trees and leaves flowing all over the place. A PS5 version would really freaking rock this game even more.
It looks great but I'll stop short of believing it's "in-game" until I actually see it for myself. I've been burned by too many bull-shots to get roped in again.
2021 not 2031.
This is why I'm waiting for about a year so all the bugs and kinks get worked out, plus it'll be cheaper.
So ridiculous, just because someone is a "genius in your eyes" doesn't mean he can't be wrong. Quit blindly worshiping people. The perfect scores are the most sketchiest especially when their whole article pretty much rails against the game for being boring, repetitive, confusing etc. and at the end they're like "I still give it a perfect 10/10!!!!" purely because it's a Kojima game.
It's called future-proofing.
R*:Let the modders do all the work for us.
I think he's an overrated genius. He's great but he really needs an adult next to him to just slap him in the face and say "NO" sometimes.
People give Sean Murray a ton of crap for NMS but this is a great example of crappy dev support. At least Murray stuck around and fixed his game. I'd rather buy another flop from Hello Games, at least I know they'd fix it and not outright abandon it.
"Pretty sure everyone would have liked a simple remaster"
I'm pretty sure you're wrong considering the down-votes and the numerous praise it has gotten at every game show it has appeared at so far. It won best of E3 and had the most accolades. It has even converted nay-sayers like yourself. So yes, maybe stop talking for "everyone". It's just you.
These types of reviewers just tell me that they're scoring it high purely because of the Kojima name. They don't want to be seen as the type that would criticize Kojima and it's exactly what I feared would happen.
This is exactly why I am 100% on board with how the direction the FF7 remake is going. It would have been nothing but a waste to pander to nostalgia-zealots who want a 1:1 remake instead of a reimagining. Some games like Spyro and Crash are fine as 1:1 remakes but a game like Medieval could have been so much more if they had just decided to go the extra mile. I'm not saying turn it into Dark Souls but it had the potential to really stand out as a new game.
Releasing a Pro at the same time is not a good idea. I'd rather a mid-gen refresh if it came to it.
Uhh...I wasn't joking.. If you honestly can't see that this game is taking a huge gamble on being weird and annoying rather than fun, then you're very delusional. Kojima has presented us with absolutely nothing but odd bits of the game. For example, he spent an hour showing us Norman's room and how we can do weird, dumb things and that he can take a crap and piss....I mean...really?? The most he showed was a few game play here and there. Which is exactly what he wanted to show...
Allowing Dreams for PC would be absolutely HUGE. Then again, I do see how it would be very problematic. Considering they won't know how to gauge the thermo since very PC is different, user experience would vary. I would like to see Dreams ported to Xbox, Dreams is a game that is definitely helped by "the more the merrier".
Just letting users port their creations to other platforms however is a good idea but they'd have to be the creme of the crop. There a...
The way Bethesda has been treating Fallout, I greatly fear for Elder Scrolls 6.
"how incredible the game looks." We didn't see anything...All we saw was an in-engine video..
