The first part of FF7 is allowed to be "linear" in a sense, since there's pretty much no other way to handle it. You can't make Midgar open world, it doesn't make sense. If the rest of the FF7:RE is played in hallway sections like this first part, it would definitely be a problem. I don't mind it when zoning into towns and stuff. The one major issue I had with FF13 was just the story. The story was garbage. I to this day, I still have no idea wtf is going on in the w...
Good point.
Bug or feature?
Did you even play the game? There is quite a lot different.. In fact, it pretty much is an alternate dimension FF7.
Although you're 100% right and it's true that she needs to die, I have to say that I honestly don't care. We know that she does and we get it. If they want to put another alternative path in where she lives and we find a different way, even if the ending isn't the same or turns out to be a "bad ending" kind of deal, I'll take it. It just adds on replay-ability and makes new twists and turns for people already well versed in the game's story. They can re-do th...
The corridor comparison doesn't hold up. First of all, the entire Midgar section is supposed to be kind of linear and narrative heavy. It wouldn't make sense to have Cloud be able to just go to any section of Midgar he wants at any time. It's not GTA. Although I'd love for a 100% open world Midgar game but it just can't star Cloud. You'd have to play as a new Turk recruit or something. As for FF13's corridor problems, the problem with that game was that it spanned ...
It's a shame that the game had to release during the midst of a pandemic. People are already unable to pay rent or food let alone have money for a video game.
Why? When the PS4 has a user base of over 100 million?
Maybe It's not the game that YOU wanted. What is this "We" Nonsense?
-edit nevermind
This just shows that they've not learned a thing from this current gen. Power means nothing without games. All they can talk about is power but if Sony has the games, then that's all they have, power. They're acting like people actually care about 4k/120 I mean who even has that except for a few handful of people? They're catering to the niche, AGAIN.
Kratos is Jesus, calling it now.
The street date has been broken, it's being shipped early to countries already. Just release the damn thing and let us play before Covid-19 takes us.
It don't matter much to me. Whoever has the games is the winner in my book. I mean, the Xbox One X is more powerful than the PS4 Pro and yet who is the one raining huge hits this year?
I'll go digital and keep the physical as a remembrance to this terrible time.
Meh, I'll stick with my candy promo Tifa theme.
It's okay. My back log is so long at 500+ games deep with many many many AAA titles yet to have been played. I can wait it out. If they do delay it, I hope they take all that extra time to really work things out.
I still claim this game to be the best game in terms of sheer image quality, density and performance on any console or PC to this date. I've spent hours with the photo mode just marveling at how amazing everything looked.
The boss killed me once but I readjusted how I played and did far better the second and third time around. I only needed about 5 potions. Just use thunder a lot, block when it's firing it's rockets. When its tail goes up to shoot the laser, take that time to heal up if you can. Don't ever try to "main" one character. If you do, make sure to issue commands to the other characters.
We've known this for months.
