Kids who want to see big, floppy titties are now crying censorship like they're being held under the heel of some tyrannical oppressor. The way they act it seems like they think Tifa now wears a Burqa, it's ridiculous and juvenile.
I highly doubt XVI is anywhere on their radar. They have both teams from KH3 and FF15 on FF7 and the remake has two teams working (over 200 people). One to complete the current chapter and the other team working on the second. They'll probably do this for another 5-10 years for all we know. There's no way they'd dedicate a whole other team for XVI. They know they need to pump VII out fast.
Every "episode" is a completely revamped, entire game in itself. People like you fail to truly grasp the size of FF7. People have been wanting this remake as far back as 2000. If this is what it takes to get the remake so be it. You make it sound like this is some Telltale "episode" that lasts 5 hours. Get over it.
There better be a "pink wig" easter egg that basically transforms him into Lightning and thus completes the circle.
Keanu as Vincent Valentine.
@poppinslops Whether or not CDPR is independent or not is moot. They are still in fact a multi-million dollar studio. Don't make it like they're two dudes in a garage selflessly making a 200+hr game. Furthermore, Witcher 3 is much easier to do. 1.) There's only one guy you control through the whole game and 2.) They have more freedom, Square has to get the FF7 world just right considering that we've been through it before, we have expectations that things still exist in some f...
Your interview is outdated and you can't even recall the source. Jason Schrier of Kotaku just interviewed Nomura and he admits he doesn't even know how many parts will be. I'm guessing he actually does have some idea but won't say it otherwise people will just keep quoting him like its gospel.
Isn't that the case with most Final Fantasies? I honestly still can't tell what the story of 10, 13, nor 15 is. I think 7 was the easiest.
Does anyone really need a "nerdy theory" to know this? Isn't quite obvious?
I wouldn't accept a "chapter" release for any game but FF7 really is the only exception. I've waited 20 years for this game and if it means having to take it in smaller doses instead of waiting for another 10+ years which by then the PS6 will be out, then so be it. In 10 years a ton of fans will die from a ton of different things. I don't care if its 10 parts, although I really hope its no more than 4. But whatever, it is what it is. The saying "beggars can't be...
Pretty much any game that releases going forward (even ones that released a few months ago) is most likely going to have a next gen counter-part.
PS4 first. The other platforms will come later. Honestly, this way they can only focus on one system and get it out faster. This "episodic" (hate that word) way of releasing it is really in everyone's best interest. We get to play sooner and every other game should just improve from the feedback and the visuals will only get better with the PS5.
They already said that it's only Midgar, Nibelheim is pretty far in. That's past Kalm, past the Zolom which will be epic as all hell this time around, past, Cosmo Canyon too isn't it? That's a lot...
My problem isn't that they don't look like their MCU counter-parts because that simply can't he helped unless they use 95% of their budget just hiring RDJ but that they just look so...lame..and bland.
I doubt it'll take 60 hours. Maybe 60 for a completionist run but the main story could be about 20-30 and that's fine with me. Once they show the open world and it's truly as massive as it should be, people will embrace it. And what's wrong with going into more detail with the other characters? Just by watching the trailers, I already care more about the terteriary characters like Biggs, Wedge and Jessie. I hope the Turks play a bigger role this time as well instead of just be...
This actually warrants it though. People seem to fail to realize the absolute scale and magnitude of FF7 just because they managed to squeeze it into 3 CDs. I'd rather have them release it this way. With this method, they can further tweak things in fix things in the next part. The graphics will also only get better.
They're not calling it episodes. They probably did once but it's the wrong term to use and now everyone is calling them episodes like its some TellTale game.
My only concern is that they'll take too long and people will wait for the complete edition instead and it doesn't sell as well as they hope and they just end up scrapping it all together midway through.
It is still episodic...Please tell me, why people think it's not. You're like the 20th person I've had to correct today. It's really Square's fault for being so passive about informing people. I've had to tell them on their twitter to be more clear about it. There's no way Midgar can be done on one disc and the entirety of the game on the second. It's ridiculous.
@Juusterey You can disagree with me all you want but if your entire reasoning for the failure of FF7 is 'TITTIESSSSSS!!@!" Then yes, you are a stupid, thumb sucking 5 year old.
