They already said that it's only Midgar, Nibelheim is pretty far in. That's past Kalm, past the Zolom which will be epic as all hell this time around, past, Cosmo Canyon too isn't it? That's a lot...

My problem isn't that they don't look like their MCU counter-parts because that simply can't he helped unless they use 95% of their budget just hiring RDJ but that they just look so...lame..and bland.

I doubt it'll take 60 hours. Maybe 60 for a completionist run but the main story could be about 20-30 and that's fine with me. Once they show the open world and it's truly as massive as it should be, people will embrace it. And what's wrong with going into more detail with the other characters? Just by watching the trailers, I already care more about the terteriary characters like Biggs, Wedge and Jessie. I hope the Turks play a bigger role this time as well instead of just be...

This actually warrants it though. People seem to fail to realize the absolute scale and magnitude of FF7 just because they managed to squeeze it into 3 CDs. I'd rather have them release it this way. With this method, they can further tweak things in fix things in the next part. The graphics will also only get better.

They're not calling it episodes. They probably did once but it's the wrong term to use and now everyone is calling them episodes like its some TellTale game.

My only concern is that they'll take too long and people will wait for the complete edition instead and it doesn't sell as well as they hope and they just end up scrapping it all together midway through.

It is still episodic...Please tell me, why people think it's not. You're like the 20th person I've had to correct today. It's really Square's fault for being so passive about informing people. I've had to tell them on their twitter to be more clear about it. There's no way Midgar can be done on one disc and the entirety of the game on the second. It's ridiculous.

Exactly, we (or most) of us know all the huge plot points anyway. It would be a huge wasted opportunity if they just had done a pure 1:1 remake with absolutely nothing new but graphics and animation. Perhaps if this had been a PS2 remake, I'd understand but the PS4 and PS5 deserve so much more and I'm glad Square decided to stretch its wings instead of caving to a false sense of misguided nostalgia.

Dude, you do realize that digging through menus and selecting stuff is just pretty much the exact same thing as mashing a button? It's just mashing with extra steps. You're not all of a sudden "more tactical" because you have to dig through 2-3 menus when a shortcut to do the exact same thing can be achieved faster. Everything about the remake is looks way more epic and cinematic. I'll never understand those who just want some boring static turn-based game. What a waste ...

It most definitely ends by the time you leave Midgar. The entire Midgar storyline has been expanded on though. Most likely fleshes out Wedge, Biggs, Jessie, the Turks, etc. Square really needs to just come out and say this clearly because I've been running into people who think the second disk somehow contains the rest of the entire game. They don't even know how many parts this is going to have.

By all means don't buy it. I'm glad Square is not listening to idiots like you who think its possible to cram the enormity of FF7 into 2-3 disks. No one is going to lose sleep over your empty threats. It'd be like Peter Jackson caving into Studios to cram Lord of the Rings into 1 movie.

Yeah because the world knows that the entire series is judged on whether or not djplonker likes a FF game or not..

"Expected". At this stage, I'd rather just wait for the PS5 version because we all know it's going to happen.

I just looked that up, it seems interesting. I'm not too crazy about the whole anime look however.

I have played Monster Hunter actually. One of the quests: "Hey guy, this family of totally docile plant eaters are chilling at this beach, kill them because whatever". Jokes aside, just because creatures attack on site doesn't make them "monsters". They (the players) ARE invading their little island. It's like me showing up to the savannas of Africa to hunt Lions and they end up attacking me and killing me, that doesn't now make them "monsters". The i...

I wish there was a monster hunter where you hunted actual monsters like from Bloodborne and Dark Souls games instead of just these majestic creatures that seem to be just minding their own business.

You're hilariously naive if you think one sect of gamers on another store is all of a sudden different. You know why they're not so "negative and toxic"? Because they don't have a platform to voice it.Guess who the "Epic Store people" consists of, Fortnite kids. Yea, definitely no negativity and toxicity here.

Also, you apparently did not even read the article considering this is about Unity's POSITIVE review bombing. And they're not ...
