lol hey dummies let's compare the PC version of Crysis 2, with 16x MSAA and 8x AF, to PS3 exclusive Killzone 2.
Way to be honest and fair in that comparison!
/sarcasm
I would pick a top-down view like Chinatown Wars over crap looking GTAIII any day.
lulz.
Yeah well you're still an idiot, because you said the PS3 can't do tessellation.
Good job with the backpedaling there.
Yeah, but the PS3 software tessellation WORKS and just because it doesn't have it in hardware doesn't mean you can say stupid things like it can't do tessellation.
Hush hush now.
Me using Foxgod logic: "So because I can play Pokemon games (emulated) on my iPod Touch...WITHOUT using the original hardware...I'm not reall...
Of course it can. The SPUs can. Tessellation has already been used in Sony's PhyreEngine. AND it was back in 2008...lulz you fail Foxgod.
Quote from the .pdf of the tech presentation:
"Now I’ll talk a little about our performance.
To give an idea of the scene complexity, there are typically about 20 patches visible on screen in our terrain. If we increased the scale of our terrain, we might have more patches, but all the extra ones would be in the distance...
Spoiler in vid, and another typical sensational headline (a.k.a. lie) justified by a damned question mark.
Yawn.
You do realize that there are distinct differences between the versions, right?
Also, it is perfectly plausible to blame a game's inferiority on a particular console if it is the truth.
In this case, the limitations of the DVD medium are to blame, not necessarily the 360 itself.
Although, since the DVD medium resides within, and is used by, the Xbox 360, the blame gets transferred to the console as a whole.
Understand?
Final Fantasy XIII is linear for probably many reasons, and unfortunately we know for a FACT that the 360 version is of a lower quality due to the storage limitations of the DVD medium, so it's only safe and logical to assume that the game design at its core was affected as well.
Self-Destructoid
Not the best looking, but honestly I can say that no matter how much I've liked Sony and PlayStation over the years, I've always loved Halo's gameplay.
Bungie said they were returning to the roots of Halo:CE, and along with this fancy new game engine that looks to totally get rid of that purple/pink cartoon alien feel and make it mature and gritty and dark like Halo is supposed to be (or at least that's the impressions the novels give you), I'm honestly looking forward to it.
Advanced geometry performance saving technique...it's like a weird form of dynamic level of detail.

Yawn
PlayStation Move has much more accurate motion tracking, so far. It's a shame the processor was removed from Natal...now it's almost certain we'll have interface lag...sigh.
Pathetic.
Do you even know what the definition of a port is? It's the transference of a game in its entirety to another gaming console, taking into account the new console's graphics, sound, control, and network abilities.
So yes, the controls will be changed to accommodate the iPhone, the graphics will be simplified, but a direct port means the main content will remain the same, just like Resident Evil 4 for iPhone.
You can expect maybe half of that foliage thickness if that engine is running on 360.
Oh and drop the texture size and resolution to about 50-60% of that for the 360 as well.
n00b reviews are forbidden with things like Pokemon. Come on IGN, srsly?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the superb, flawless motion tracking accuracy of Sony PlayStation Move...it's what the WiiMote wants to be when it grows up.
Finally...might be able to play some ping pong that actually friggin' reacts to your real paddle swings with perfect accuracy...because ya know...not all of us have room for ping pong tables in our houses lol
LOVE IT!
Whoa...price slashes like that are not indicative of confidence in the product being sold...holy crap
-.-
Luka, your reply makes no sense (if you were replying to the comment above you, that is)
He is saying that playing GTA III on mobile platform is like having a PS2 in your hands, not a PS3.
