There are only varying levels of "definition"
- Standard definition (CRT TVs) = up to and including 480i, 576i (interlaced)
- Enhanced Definition (Old computer monitors, 6th generation videogame consoles, Wii) = ...

Oh, and I'm pretty sure we'll see some ambient occlusion this time around...with Ubisoft's mastery of shaders, plus beautiful HDR lighting, Conviction should really look amazing.
It's the co-op mode...expect much better attention to detail in the main game.
All you have to do is load up Splinter Cell: Double Agent and play the cruise ship level to see what kind of detail Ubisoft puts into these games.

Uncharted 2 is a masterpiece; it's how an action / adventure story should be presented in a game. It's the pinnacle of voice / motion capture acting, right up there with Metal Gear Solid.
