Candystop, I find it absolutely abhorrent that you can still say the PS3 has "limitations"
Faster, dedicated RAM directly accessible by the CPU and GPU.
(XDRAM 256MB @ 3.2GHz = 1.9GB DDR3 RAM @ 700MHz)
Larger storage capacity medium and standard hard drive allow for caching and streaming of high-resolution textures.
If there's one thing that Bioshock DIDN'T have....it was High-res textures. It had pretty shaders from a distance.......
I guess that's supposed to be "compulsory" ?
Anyone notice that the title of this news has Stringer spelled as "Stinger" ?
This isn't Killzone's integration that's flawed.
It's the damned website and the network itself....
Can't anyone get these kinda things right without bashing the game, for god's sake?
I agree....anyone who thinks this....or ANY OTHER GAME....comes close to touching the technical prowess of Killzone 2 is smoking some real good crack.
LOL
Don't go pretending that you know about tech either, because all you do is respond with aggression, LACK of knowledge, complete generalizations, vague statements, opinions, predictions, etc.
Light maps are ANCIENT.
If there's anything that would REALLY show the power of the 360's GPU, I sure as hell would hope that it isn't f*cking LIGHT MAPS.
Have you seen any of the new 3rd party engines coming out? Have you seen what can be done with ...
My updates are extremely fast.
Less than 10 minutes usually.
XMB while watching videos?
Does that include BD and DVD movies as well?
@ below
So is that a yes or no for BD / DVD ?
You're like a sheep....so cute and adorable yet dumb as a rock and hilarious to slaughter en masse in strategy games.
Then it better have the following:
- Real-time lighting engine that uses dynamic lights to cast dynamic shadows.
- Fix texture streaming issues
- Updated Physics engine that includes destructible environments (not just chunks blowing off pillars....I'm talking about whole damned buildings coming down - ala Crysis)...Unreal Engine mostly gets used in action games, so please have that included.
Here's some info for ya...
the Unreal engine doesn't use real-time lighting....it uses light maps.
The only lighting that's dynamic in UE3 comes from weapon effects.
And even then, the dynamic light effects from the weapons don't cast shadows.
How sad.
Firmware updates are not applied for dualshock 3 support. It's independent on a developer-by-developer basis.
The update would come separately as a required download when you start the game.
You could do that awhile ago.
That's not new.
Also, this firmware took me about 4 and a half minutes to download.
I'm in Southern California, too.
Don't know why anybody would have long downloads for this tiny update.
HAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
You have GOT to be kidding me.
Do you know anything at all, or do you just spout happy-sounding crap?
The Unreal Engine does not impress me at all.
There are far superior 3rd-party engines available, and they all have better lighting, physics, and just better graphics in general.
Yep.
That quote from the Microsoft guy about 360 being the only console offering digital entertainment for download isn't lasting very long.
Personally, I don't know how you can get away with that avatar / username.
Reported as offensive.
Also, for all the crap-flinging that PS3 owners withstood for a MORE THAN A YEAR, I think we have every right to have a little righteous anger.
Additionally, "not currently" means not right NOW.
That means tomorrow, next week, or next month that will change.
Learn business speak, people.
Funny stuff!
Kratos like potatoes!
"sans penis" .... lol?
No you can't. Microsoft only offers that free upgrade to 64-bit ONLY if you purchased a fully separate retail Windows Vista edition.
It does NOT, I repeat, NOT work with the key that you have from your pre-installed Vista that came with your PC.
