If that was me....the corrupt data message would be followed by the throwing of the popcorn bowl and a whole bunch of shouted expletives, along with flailing of fists and kicking of nearby furniture.

Just like how the PS2's real birthday was March 4th, 2000 in Japan....even though it came to the US and the rest of the world later that year in October and November, respectively.
The PS3's real birthday was in November 11th, 2006. (Japan)
That's when it was first available to purchase, regardless of where it was retailing from.
The Blu-ray train is at full steam ahead, and there's no stopping it now that it's cleared the first / worst hurdle, HD DVD.
Within months, all 5,000 + Blockbuster stores worldwide will have a Blu-ray kiosk, each with a 40" Sony Bravia 1080p LCD HDTV.
The Blu-ray kiosks all have a 40GB PlayStation 3, playing the new Blu-ray promotional disc that was just recently sent to stores.
Seriously, people....can't anyone deal with a transition or change nowa...
Booorrrrriiiiing.
*watches Blu-ray film*
Ace Combat developers = Gran Turismo developers of combat flight sims.
I can't believe this game doesn't even allow dynamic shadows cast by your flashlight.
That really pissed me off.
I'll just wait for Alone in the Dark, thank you.
That game is much more refined.
High def movies downloaded in 15 minutes?
A large percentage of americans don't even have a broadband internet connection....let alone a FAST broadband internet connection!
It'll be at LEAST 5 to 7 years before see a widespread adaptation of broadband internet available for low cost and with high speeds, like other countries have to offer.
Personally....unless it's full-resolution, uncompressed digital media in all its glory, AND I have a 30 MegaBYTE / s...
It took me 10 years to finally discover what the PlayStation brand has to offer....and I am lovin it, needless to say.
oh and I stopped reading these free e-zines after I got a PS3 issue from them and discovered that every other page was STUFFED with XBOX 360 ads!!!!
Needless to say, that pissed me off to NO END, and they received a scathing email from me afterwards.
I have 15 PSN games, and they are all spectacular.
ESPECIALLY Warhawk.
I cannot stress enough to you that although PSN is still a bit barren...it makes up for lack of quantity with some serious quality.
"No games" = wrong

"$500 machine" = wrong; 40GB PS3 - $400

"Still airing commercials for HD DVD movies" = movie studios still under contractual obligations to release films in that format.

If anyone interpreted my rants correctly up there, I DO acknowledge that EA made the Orange Box for the PS3, but what needed to happen is that Valve needed to not just shove it off to them and not give a damn because Gabe Newell hates the PS3.
Gabe hasn't even TRIED developing ANYTHING for the PS3.....how the f_ck does he know he'd handle development for it?
He took one look at the architecture of the PS3 compared to the 360 and said "f_ck it"

I spoke with a lead programmer in regards to possibly getting an internship with Liquid Entertainment (I love the Battle Realms games)...and I also talked with him about what it's like to develop for the PS3 and 360 for the first time, and a few other things, but since he was kind enough to answer my questions with me not really being anyone important in the first place, I think I'll keep his statements to myself =)
Also, Liquid Entertainment is about 10 minute drive from where ...
Half-Life 2 and its associated mods are probably the games that have occupied me the most over the past 4 years.
I've probably logged at LEAST several thousand hours in counterstrike source ALONE.
To reiterate, HL2 has an incredible story that really had me wanting more after I finished it. The characters are fantastic....the weapons work well and are FUN TO USE, and the combat is always dynamic and physics-based.
I love swirling a rocket around in the a...
Amazing indeed.
These should definitely go into future electronics.
Especially those TVs that are supposed to have Cell processors in them...just slap a few of these babies in there, and you're set! Simple cooling even a third-rate TV manufacturer can understand and use!
I can only imagine what possibilities this will open up with future mobile products....
Next thing you know, we'll be seeing hand-held devices that can render 720p games, an...
Why must people desperately cling onto the lack of exclusives argument?
You do know that is going to change, right?
It's laughable how people cling to something that is completely temporary and losing validity and truth every day....that being the lack of exclusives.
Please, please, please.....just get a PS3 now, and start having fun with it.
FirstKnight....I bet you'd love Warhawk. Some of the most insane full-scale aerial and land-based ba...
Interesting...I played Halo 3 on my friend's 360 for the first time today....and it was on his 40" 1080p Samsung visa HDMI...and there were jaggies like CRAZY!
I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Jaggies, jaggies, and MORE jaggies!
The game looked decent, but overall has better color saturation, better lighting, and higher-res textures, but that's about it. Animations, effects, etc....not much improved over Halo 2.
Although the bubble shield effe...
Oh crap this is the Creative Assembly game?
I have nothing but the utmost respect for them, due to their creation of the absolutely fantastic Total War series of PC strategy games.
I'll have to check this out then, if the good reviews keep rolling in.
