That is actually proven to be wrong as well.
The PS3's blue laser is MUCH more able to still pick up data from scratched DVDs.
Go ahead....keep talking out your ass.
PWNAGE @ the hands of riotsquad....LOL
Unfortunately, that's just your view of it....industry experts have shown that the PS3 uses way better techniques for upconversion, while the 360 uses only a very few basic methods.
Once 1.8 firmware hit for the PS3, the upconversion issue was resolved....hands down.
If I still had the funds, I'd get a 360 too.
I don't want to f*ckin pay for Live, but I do miss the exclusives sometimes....although I can get most of them for PC.
I don't mean anything in general....once we reach a limit in one direction, we'll head in another...humans have always done that once a "limit" has been reached.
Once a graphical perfection is achieved, we will be forced, once again, to think outside the box, and create something that's different, to further the continuance of gaming.
Get me?
That's right I had forgotten about that one that was done already. Good find.
On the topic of snow....it's definitely a surface that has many different sounds.
There's the dull thudding of walking on ice...
The snow crunches if it was a heavy snow or there is high humidity and it goes below freezing temps.
There's the piff-paff sound of running through snow.
If it's really dense snow, it's more of a puff-puff sound as you trudge through it.
There's also, of course, the sound that's strangely akin to grind...
The art of sound design is steadily gaining more attention and appreciation....people are upgrading to surround sound systems with pure digital 24-bit output...
Everyone is finally realizing that sound really can make or break a game.
For me, Half-life 2 was the first game to really get it right; a fantastic aural experience.
Saying you won't see something on par with Crysis on consoles is foolish.
Also, no matter how crappy the game looks or plays, some amount of creativity had to go in to the making of it.
So YES, logically, Graphics = Creativity, because without creativity, you do not have any graphics at all.
The only thing you could debate about my point is DEGREES of creativity produce differing DEGREES of graphics.
Also, I disagree with your "glass c...
Only characters....so far.
Whether we'll see any levels remade from any of those games....I don't know.
Time will tell!
It would be pretty neat to see a recreation of Blood Gulch or Zanzibar or....a cave level from Gears...you know.
If they were able to make sound bites for the characters (for the taunts and stuff), that would be the icing on the cake.
I can hear someone taunting with the Crysis character...."Maximum Armor"
or
"Maximum Strength"
And....the locust would growl or something...
And....master chief would say something like "Let's finish this fight"
LOL
Graphics = Creativity
Creativity = No limit
Same can be said for Gameplay.
Both graphics and gameplay are limitless.
Just because something looks photo-realistic, doesn't mean it has hit a glass ceiling.
Graphics can evolve as well, in terms of style and implementation.
Just look at Okami...the graphics and gameplay were combined into one element.
It was genius!
I'm with ya there, tethered.
Bubble +
Sony did not knowingly make their service free because they thought it was "inferior' to Xbox live....
They made it free, because they know and understand that you need not charge for a service for it to be good.
Look at Linux, for God's sake.
Incredibly feature-rich, and it TOTALLY blows away Microsoft Windows' features, interface, and cost.
How? It's free!
The best things in life are free, and PSN is no exception.
...
Neat little interview.
My coworkers call me when I'm NOT WORKING because customers at the store are asking for me BY NAME.
I do NOT drive people away from my store by explaining and telling things to them.
When YOU are the head of a electronics department and customers refuse to talk to your coworkers because they only trust YOU, then you'll know what I'm talking about.
I trust customers with the knowledge I give them; they trust me in return, coming back to me for advice and ...
If you're going to tell a story, you must tell the whole story.
My customers are informed people, and I can tell you right now, that if I sold a 360 to them WITHOUT telling them about the failure potential, and their console crapped out on them....my reputation as an HONEST salesman would f*cking disappear INSTANTLY.
I'm an honest person, and I can't NOT tell someone the full story on everything I sell and / or have available for purchase.
On the contrary, Rock Band and Guitar Hero are the most shameless uses of DLC ever.
I can't believe how much extra money you can spend on those games, when they ALREADY cost 100 + dollars EACH!!
It's unbelievable!
The chick is wearing a shirt with the firefox logo on it.
It's clearly there, you just have to not look at her tits for a few seconds to see it.
Yep.
Don't pay for these things they offer as DLC, then that will send the message to the higher-ups.
I highly doubt you have a PS3.
What's your PSN account name? I don't see one on your n4g profile.
