I will say though, A game like Twilight Princess was helf back by the lack of an HD resolution because it looked grainy with all those details plugged into a 480p res. If you realize how big the difference is between 1080p and 720p then you'd understand why people are often disappointed to hear it when a game runs lower than full-hd in this day and age.
Nintendo 3DS Advance confirmed. Has detachable buttons and analog sticks and d-pads that can be switched around even so it has dual analog. This along with some patent filings and pictures I saw on Neogaf must mean this is actually happening.
It could be the interface of their upcoming QoL platform as well though.
Are you saying - with a straight face no less - that this or Bayonetta 2 look vastly better than good-looking Xbox360 games? The quotes you mention are exactly pointing at a game like this and Bayonetta 2.
but the truth is that good art direction can be enough to distract from a technical inferiority. such is the case where B2 and MK8 truly shine.
Derp. Of course it was... in pixel-junk monsters for instance. That's not exactly impressive. You talk like 1080p @60fps is just some function the system has. A pc with power only enough to play PS2 graphics would ve able to render Pac Man at 1080p @60fps.
I'm not impressed with 60fps in split screen until I've seen it. They probably reduced render details and draw distance. Try playing a game like Halo Reach in split screen for instance. It has much lower render distances for texture, foilage and general draw distance.
Also there's no way MK8 is not upscaled 1080p. Not on that hardware and considering how mechanically and technically similar it is to Mario Kart 7. It's essentially 720p scaled up to 1080p... an...
But not on 3DS despite the ambassador version.......
In a nutshell, It's just MK7 with better graphics... meh.
If they stick with tradition, story will suck big time and then I won't care about their game.
I can't believe it's not even out in my country yet. There's no doubt why it isn't doing as well as PS4, despite the resolutionsgate stuff.
Having played the trilogy on PC with 1080p@60fps over 5 times already... no way.
Until Frictional fix their awful protagonist in SOMA they haven't got a thing on Isolation to be quite frank. I have my doubts as well because Isolation looks railroaded as heck, but SOMA also has apparent design flaws from what I've seen thus far.
Pteh, what does Pachter know?
'Looks' good, but I'm not too impressed by the sit-back-and-watch segments and the bad dialogue.
It's Creative Assembly. They're not the guys you want in charge of AIs...
Ryse is the only game I've seen that truly looks "next-gen" in terms of visuals. Infamous is the first really good AAA game that's next-gen only though IMO.
If they end up localizing AA6 and not this which is being made by Shu Takumi BTW, then I'm gonna be super sad!
Renegade kid is not a good enough developer. They make original concepts and that's great, but they don't really pack a punch with what they make IMO.
Cant they just restrict people with parental controls from using Miiverse??!
My problem is mainly that I can still buy a game like Bioshock Infinite because of the high metascore, but end up being disappointed because the gameplay is bland and the story has more flaws than the reviews suggest.
The dislikes really prove we're in the Nintendo Stronghold of N4G when what you stated is a friggin fact.
