"Cliff Bleszinski on Watch Dogs' Visuals; Next-Gen Version Downgraded Due To Old-Gen Version"
...Which is what I and a lot of people have also been saying, and it's also the reason why people should calm down. It was bound to happen right from the moment their initially showed it. Ubisoft are scumbags when it comes to hyping up a new game. Far Cry 3 looked amazing and people were like "wooah, that's on PS3!?" then it came out and my PS3 version...
To me the 2014 versions looks worse, but not graphically... it seems like in 2013 they had all those scenes set up for certain lighting scenarios that made it look much more crisp while, now, to integrate the scenes better within the campaign of the full game they had to switch around lighting and whatnot.
Either way, I would not be surprised if graphics aren't exactly as good as they looked in the early footage. Same happened last gen, most notably with Killzone 2 for in...
Not to mention we spent 6-7 years of last gen being fine with 720p on consoles while everybody still had 1080p monitors. It's seriously not that big of a deal.
Any smart person would ignore 4K this gen and stick to a native 1080p tv for PS4 gaming.
Nowhere to be seen... Argh this will probably just be like last gen. Xbox had Halo Reach while I only had Uncharted 3 on my PS3... both were great but the Reach community and just online in general was so much better!
Great stuff Nintendo fanboys. You disagree with a comment that speaks the obvious truth? I'm not arguing that 720p sucks, I'm merely saying it is 720p and not 1080p like some apparently think.
"uuuh, but maybe it's upscaled!" well, sure, but upscaled 720p to 1080p is still just 720p. Doesn't look any better than native 720p on most TVs.
...and just when I was thinking "whatever happened to Destiny?"
Sweet.
Nintendo's strategy is amazing. Biggest loss in recent years: "Let's expand everything"
Everyone else: "Holy shit fire the other half of the company!"
What can I say... this is the Internet.
Why can't PS Now just be a monthly subscription that lets me play all my purchased PS3 games whenever I like on the cloud?
I read a preview in my local Gamemag from this month and they said they were disappointed to see their demo-build look significantly worse than the initial trailers, so it's totally true.
Cool story, but both Bayonetta 2 and MK8 are 720p upscaled to 1080p...
N-Fusion made the CoD Modern Warfare games on DS... It was acceptable for what the DS was capable of, but I dare say N-fusion is a really bad developer.
"Witcher 3 locked at 15fps confirmed!"
A privilege for MS exclusive games of course, but we all know DX12 games would run way better if PS4 had access to it.
If not Witcher 3 or Dragon Age, this will be the game that I buy my PS4 to get.
Likely we'll see some games that truly maxes the console out by the end of its cycle, however I personally thought PS3 peaked with Uncharted 2 and then while TLoU looked good, it had a lot of framerate hiccups in comparison. IMO it's more preferable to push the envelope as much as possible until the console shows signs that it's too much.
You don't put an unreleased game on a "top ten worst reboots" list. No one knows if it's good or not.
Laughed way more than I should have x)
Even in GTA V you couldn't. I doubt it'll even happen whenever GTA is out as a next-gen exclusive. It's just a lot of extra effort that heavily decreases the performance even when you aren't inside, or there would have to be awful amounts of extra loading-time.
We'll see.
