And there we go. I was sure Nintendo wouldn't suddently lay their principles off their hands. It's official that there is still a friendcode system in the Wii U as we speak.
I'm pretty sure that SmartGlass would never have peeked at the light of day, if it was not for the Wii U. No of course microsoft wanted to differentiate it abit, but the concept is Sooooo similar. Just like the kinect is a similar concept of gaming to the Wii.
Maybe Nintendo are generally frustrated about being innovative, because they have to do the hard work in the creative process, and when they announce their newfound ideas other companies just steal their concepts, producing them in better quality, and leaving the masterminds behind the ideas, in the last place.
Pachter said E3 would be boring this year about a week and a half before it, and gaaaawd was it so.
Wow! GOTY...
If something like OnLive will take over, then who will set the milestone for new games? I just really don't think developers like the idea of their games, that they made to run on real hardware in realtime, only being available via a video feed. I just think it seems unreliable.
I hope Nintendo will "save" the company like Epic games did with 38 studios/Big Huge.
Halo 3 established a picture of forerunners being humans. Now it seems like they're supposed to be aliens.
That mario is different every time is a bad argument because there aren't like over 5 zelda games every year. When there are 5 years in between each Zelda title, then of course they don't grow boring as fast.
Ganon. His last appearance was non-sensical (Twilight Princess) He just sat on his throne in the emptied Hyrule caste. He hadn't really achieved anything and didn't have a motive for wanting to be ressurected.
And Zant was thereby diminished to a bad character. He should've been the main baddie all the way through.
Yeah, and also, when i'm watching some of the shows that are on Gametrailers they always bring up, that Xbox 360 is leading the market, because it does in the US. In fact it's several 100k's under the sales of the total PS3 sales. And it's doing really poor in Japan :/
It's obviously ported. But they might've improved the graphics or the resolution, but we can't really tell from the off-screen footage we've seen.
Yeah i also agree. Nintendo's conference didn't really prove the Wii U to be for core gamers, but rather that it lives up the the "Wii" in the Wii U name.
So right now everyone should stay safe, because we will be flooded in shovelware once more!
Nintendo just left out EVERYTHING worthy of mentioning at their conference. There were NO live demos of games, and NO important details about the consoles specs and release information. Instead we got plenty of shovelware and Nintendoland... And what do we have here... everything that everyone wants to know.
Plus there are even real gameplay footage from the showfloor of Assassin's Creed 3 and Batman Arkham City running on the console.
I. Don't. Know....
I think its a great way for them to showcase to other developers what they can do with games, while also making it popular among gamers, which if succesful will persuade developers to do games in the concept of "asymetrical gameplay"
I just wish this wasn't their big focus at E3. Pikmin 3 deserved way more time on the floor.
Consider this when making the topic statement: David Cage is a frustrated filmmaker who failed!
At least they are not very good artists.
Ugh the live gameplay demo they showed at their conference was overly explained and boring. It completely KILLED the rest of the show.
I'm starting to become afraid that Nintendo will come down this coming gen.
Cool, but it's basically the same info that was told at E3.
I still don't know how the story/mission progression will be, and how open the world is. Anyhow, the game looks magnificent!
I don't get why they are so careful when there are PARENTAL CONTROLS, which could have been used instead. Maybe if you had an account, but were only issued a friendcode, if you had parental controls on. That would be way better.
