I doubt it's going to do that this time as excessively as it did on Wii and 3DS.
Marketing can make a huge difference, but from the looks of it there's nothing definitively "new" in MK8 that I haven't already experienced a million times over with the other two latest MK games for Wii and 3DS over the past couple of years.
I'm not getting MK8 becuase I don't have a Wii U, and I'm not buying a Wii U because it still doesn't have the games I'm interested in. Period. (until it does have the games I can look forward to) <...
Methinks EA's workspace has brought all Bioware Writers in a creative blockade, and it prevents them from making as good stories as they used to before DA2 and ME2.
Ugh.... but why??? Why do we even need all that space? I'm mostly just interesting in seeing where the story goes :/
It's certainly nice to have, but I would hate it if Geralt was a custom-made character by the players' liking.
Shepard is also not much to brag about. In Mass Effect 3 he's borderline Mary-sue ish.
What about PL vs PWAAAAAAAA!?!?!?!??!
Even if it runs 60fps it would still have in-game/PR-cutscene segregation and those cutscenes are just locked at 30fps.
Not surprising since Capcom is the EA of japan in terms of reputation. But at least EA has more of the proper franchises to streamline. Capcom literally took their biggest franchise and turned it into something digestible for the lowest common-denominator. Yes, I am talking about RE6.
I've been playing PLvPWAA since friday and there's no way I'm gonna beat the last 10 hours before tomorrow ;-D
You get a lot for the money!
@NewMonday... this again..? I was one of the millions who preordered that game and played it day 1. It was fantastic all right but the only thing that made it impressive was how it took a combination of great narrative, great gameplay and great acting and made it all feel very seamless. It is in no way a Citizen Kane of videogames or whatever else you may hear of hyperbole around the internets.
Gameplay wise in itself it did nothing out of the ordinary, or at least, nothing I...
Toldya. Everyone has stressed that so much ever since the console's unveiling. It's the Wii all over again except this time it isn't innovative by the same margin.
Ground Zeroes for PS4 really should be a free download on PS+
I would like to know how many polygons Ubisoft sacrificed when they "optimized" watch dogs.
Great stuff, but I'll be getting that PLVPWAA in a retail copy this friday instead! Can't wait. I've been waiting for two years for this one game!
You "loved Uncharted before it was cool", is that it?
I think from a story-analysis pov, 3 is objectively worse in how it is written. It just feels forced and has a lot of cheap moments.
I meant to disagree. 3 has the worst writing by far, and especially the ending is just UC2 ripoff. You get to the big eldorado-like place and then it starts to crumble and you have to escape.
The whole story about Drake and his motivations was needless IMO and awfully executed. You went through one blockbuster action sequence after the next, then right after that a crewmate -- Sully, Elena, Chloe or whatever -- stops up and asks something like "Why do you keep doing this...
Yeah, and the Wii would be able to play DVDs in a matter of years. FFS MS, the hardware has been released and it isn't gonna change. If you're gonne use your "cloud" to handle extra computing for higher resolutions then all games will be always-online in the future. Nobody wants that.
Maybe more games will play in 1080p in a year or two on the One, but I'm pretty sure we'll all be looking over to the PS4 by then, which is miles ahead of that resoluti...
Google and Apple are approaching QoL too apparently. Nintendo is rushing to be part of that competition.
Since Wii they've been all about luck and streamlined mechanics but I assure you, Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Double Dash are NOT kids' games.
