The new designs actually gave me an okay impression, but the reason everyone hates them is because they're different from the designs we're used to. I agree, knuckles looks stupid, but so does his old design.

I can't personally give it 10/10 with the battle mode being completely broken as it is (seriously, they rushed it, so NO arena maps which breaks the whole mode)

If anyone were truly expecting MK8 to just suddently boost Wii U sales up to the likes of what the Wii had achieved by this point in time, they have been unrealistic about it. It's not hard to figure out that a best-seller title will naturally get more sales if the install base of the console it has been made for is already very high. MK8 might've sold a couple of new Wii U's, but MKWii for instance sold so damn well because everyone already had a Wii at the time of its release. ...
A new IP could be a neat step for the company.

But considering how the last game was Super Mario 3D World I just doubt Nintendo will make the new Zelda anymore daring. 3D World is just sad to me when you consider how full of heart and originality Galaxy was. 3D World litterally feels like a handheld game on a home console or just NSMB in 3D.
To be quite frank The Witcher 2's strong point was the story. The gameplay and presentation is your typical RPG bugfest and the writing was overly long in the tooth. Being the 3.5x bigger The Witcher 3 doesn't bode well IMO but in the end it doesn't matter when I still like Zelda more.
Bigger and lengthier is not the same as "better", not in every case. OoT has an impeccable atmosphere, wonder of discovery, good game design and a combat that feels like D...
