I think the reason why reviewers are this critical is because they're all a bunch of ignorant fools who always only play until they see the credits and then assume there's nothing more for them to do in the game.
Unfortunately with Amy out, I really don't think Drake is the protagonist. I think Neil Druckmann and Co. wants to turn Uncharted into a "Mature" franchise, which of course is lame and totally un-uncharted.
Kojima, you attention-hound. Alas, here we have our first big next-gen controversy.
I'm actually happy that for once the review score reflects upon the price of a product. It's not a good thing this new practice for GZ, and I wouldn't want it to become popular.
Am I the only one who'd wish we could just get a Zelda with no gimmicks for once??
If that's the case then it will be the final nail in the coffin. Nintendo, I thought I still understood you despite your declining fanbase and general audience, but lately you've been alienating anyone who isn't an old fart from the 80s
So many money wasted on one of the worst campaigns I've ever seen in recent shooters. Useless mo-cap acting and an asinine script.
I can't wait to rent games with my 10mbit connection. The rental period will probably be used up by the time I have the game installed.
The writing is really bad in the main sections of the campaign. Everything is way too big and blockbuster so it loses a lot of the subtleties they put in the series in ME1 and ME2. The mother of all thresher maws suddently shows up in the same part of one planet where Shepard has to get past a Reaper and it kills the Reaper... I mean, god dammit how convenient, right?
It just felt so half-assed much of it.
Except the writing isn't really as good as in the other games.
You obviously haven't seen that 18 minute game-mechanic showcase they had earlier this year. They showed the online interactions, stealth and realtime events that happen randomly etc.
I got super excited because it looked anything but generic... but that was before the visual downgrade, so I hope nothing more than visuals have been affected...
I mean now it looks like Watch Dogs PS4 is basically just Watch Dogs PS3 in 1080p instead.
Seriously, why is Neil wasting his time on this!? Such talent gone to waste to make a movie that will with 100% certainty be inferior to the excellent game.
I don't know why but it doesn't look as good as Infamous 2 to me... there's just something about the traversal and lack of parkour that kinda takes away the excitement.
I'm thinking in a worst case scenario Watch Dogs was about to be amazing but then they stumbled into development hell because they had to balance the next-gen versions to the last-gen versions because obviously they can't just fully utilize the processing powers of PS4 and XB1 and still have all the same mechanics on PS3 and 360, unless the only downgrade was the graphics. The ambitious project had it all, then lost it because of cross-gen limitations and ends up flopping.

Uncharted 3 was PS3's Halo Reach IMO. They should definitely try at it again, or at least bring Uncharted 3's MP mode in 1080p 60fps on PS4 as compensation :P
As long as it isn't just a rushed, milked gam... oh wait... RE6 is only 1 year old. Forget it. Let this franchise die already or take your time making them good Capcom FFS.
I know this article is mostly about gameplay, but seriously, where is Mass Effect 3!? It tried to be so Uncharted and Michael Bay that it just ended up ruining it, at least for me.
Me too. I even think the story was better which I know is debatable because it's so jumbled and inconsistent in focus, but I thought it had much more memorable moments.
That's what I thought as well when they announced the game was delayed. I was so afraid this was gonna be rushed or something. More dev-time = more polish
And we all know what happens if there isn't enough development time for a "final game in a trilogy". I don't want to experience more of that.
I love the voice-chat feature and the fact that we finally get a good-looking new co-op based shooter... but to say I'm impressed by the artstyle or whatever the premise for the story was would be stretching it. It looks rather bland to me.
