EDIT: nevermind.
As opposed to what? that's what 60fps means. Sometimes it's like people think 60fps means better graphics.
I love how modest you are. It's like you only realise it now. 30fps is ALWAYS more choppy. It's half the friggin frames per second. There's no game where 30fps feels better unless it's full of cutscenes and you prefer a movie-like framerate.
Jesus, so many people saying Wind Waker is a 'loop open world' no it is not. When you say too far in one end your boat stops and says "we should not venture farther."
Zelda I will be the first game to do this ever. It could be so amazing if they did that.
It's been out in EU and Aus for 4 months.
Not The Last of Us IMO, but that game is one of them ;-)
Probably one of the Zelda games. I think a lot of people overlook how good the stories are in them. Limited amount of talking and dialogue but lots of thematic stuff going on and great subtext (at least in the games before TP).
I think particularly Wind Waker and MM are amazing when you think about it, especially when you consider how subdued they are.
Big words to say the least :-S
I hate when cutscenes are not in-game. Preorder cancelled. This feels like a downgrade to me.
Jesus, this guy really thinks he's an anime character. He's been everywhere on N4G as of late.
BUT WHY DO WE NEED THIS??? Didn't the game present this story perfectly fine? I think Neil Druckman is a megalomaniac for doing this. It's so unnecessary.
Welp, I'm going for stable 30fps then.
What can I say? We lost Club Nintendo in scandinavia 10 years ago. I figured it was just going downhill everywhere else as well.
If that's true and new villain = not Ganon archetype, then I'm super excited, especially when they use the word "Mystery". Makes it sound like the story has been given more focus than usual.
I usually hate when developers create something with damson pandering in mind so they can score some cheap points but I don't really think there is harm in doing this for ME4. It's an acknowledgement that they disappointed some fans with their latest games and they want people to tell them why they were dissatisfied and use that knowledge to improve on their next game.
The only negative outcome I see of this is if ME4 will get lots of fan fic like moments because some...
I remember from the very first game play footage I saw my reaction was "really??" to be honest. Reapers everywhere and an all out war? After ME1 and ME2 you knew 3 would be about the reaper invasion but the way they chose to go about it left me feeling anxious from the get go at e3 2011. Kinda how I'm feeling about Arkham Knight now even though I want it to be as good as City.
Killing Shepard felt more like a style-over-substance thing than anything to me and I appreciated the refined gun play evven though the removal of proper inventory management was annoying. From a game-design perspective I love Mass Effect 2. ME 3 is where it fell apart for me. The writing was the worst it had been yet. The two major middle sections were good though (but I despise the save the krogans final mission cuz too much contrived shit) but auto dialogue and lack of interactive control ...
Seeing everything in a mere 15 hours was unsatisfactory for a zelda game. There weren't even any really standout moments that were not a part of the main quest, plus it was just the same over world as ALttP. Disagree.
Hopefully it will be much better than that ;-)
If this is true then I hope we finally get GBA games on 3DS!
Completely true that I never preordered it in the first place, but I was actually interested in seeing what they did with the cutscenes until I learned they were CG now. I just hate it when games don't use the in-game assets for cutscenes. It creates an unnecessary gap between gameplay and story segments IMO.
I think it makes a game more immersive if it renders the cutscenes using the game-engine directly and not through a "press play" video file.
