Such sense almost seems like blasphemy here lol, Bubbles up though, Wasn't aware of openGL's lates versions, not beyond the 3.# versions

I know eh? It kind of highlights the ignorance of some people that articles like this even reach the web. I mean seriously, (almost) any PC multiplat title will have features the console version doesn't. Hence it's more capable....Common sense no?

Well I'm kind of unsure in a way until its closer to complete lol. Its high end, Sandybridge 3.6Ghz going to be OC to 4.6. But I am kind of caught between the GTX 480 and 580 right now, Any advice with either card? this is actually my first gaming PC so I don't really know what I am getting into in some aspects.

The main problem is whatever I build is going SLI in the near future, so I feel the 480 aside from being a nice price, could be a bad move against a 3Gb 580 ...

HD upgrade, Higher rez textures. Yet the bit that perplexes me is the individual areas are pretty small, so yes you would imagine it would not need a mandatory.

Perhaps the install will be to take the load off the bigger boss textures? Not trying to justify it, just thinking up possible reasons

To be honest only one really tugs at my memory this gen repeatedly, despite its inevitable flaws.

Mirrors Edge, So much potential hidden in that gem.

A lot of the games you mentioned are some of my favorites, Yet despite being technically superior to my choice in many aspects, I find ME highlights many aspects of gaming that I miss, While remaining unique

Spend them before they can?

I just don't get whats wrong with having the controller designed for the system, It really isn't that hard to do. I game on almost all formats and the only 2 I would say I find particularly uncomfortable are solely touch screen with no buttons, and laptop pads. The latter of which is mostly due to them being too small to pan smoothly and shooting every damn time I brush my finger over it to look somewhere else lol

I still can't really run this game :(
One day my PC will be finished but for now, the laptop just isn't man enough. What I did play of it was really impressive though, Even with everything set to low and at 800x600 lol

That's a pretty big annoyance in my books, I hate auto-boot programs. Its all good when your planning to play the game but if you just want to surf the net or whatever its just holding back the bootup process.

In fact I'm pretty sure it would be more efficient to just boot up, then launch origin than have the damn auto-boot enabled

I'm more interested in the TactX personally, Just don't like the idea of a mouse and keyboard costing me £125

Wow, Is this the mod compendium thing? or a seperate mod? because this looks really interesting and would be happy to give it a go (if my system will handle it)

Off topic: Could anyone suggest a top notch laptop cooling pad? My belkin is dying and I dont fancy paying quite as much as the Antec 200 asks

@Orange-skittle

I pay for both and I feel PS+ has a lot more value, My XBL provides me with online gaming which I hardly use other than a couple games occasionally, and a lot of subscription based services.

PS+ on the other hand provides me with cloud storage (handy but not important). Auto-patching done at a time chosen by me. Discounts on games etc. and also free games (not free? Well after paying £40 for PS+ and getting over £100 worth of content...

My only problem with the AI though is they refuse to behave well unless on higher difficulties, otherwise they seem to just bound around the level with no real strategy.

I haven't got it on PC though so maybe it behaves differently on there. Either way I found it was a choice of play with OK AI or good AI but be ground into the concrete by how fast you get killed, even with armor on. That really killed it for me because it becomes too cover based and limits the techniques...

Who are you to try and tell people what is disrespectful? What did you do for your country to give YOU the right to speak as if you speak for the masses?

I lost my best friend to a war just over a year ago and he always appreciated how games would try to convey his job in as realistic a manner possible with the tech available. He even pointed out where things were incorrect, or where the planned attack were genuine military tactics. Most of the military play these damn games ...

Thanks for the tip. The other screens actually tended to reveal more, Wonder what the glyph below the player is all about

If reading things on N4G really affects you that much, you would be better off just not reading it surely?

Looks more like an additional way to grab a few out of reach items, There could be a tiny mini-game involved in the process though.

Would rather a chocobo racing/raising/training mini game personally

Man I hate how typically shoddy ground textures stay in most RPG's. Would have liked to have seen a bit more of that field rather than the out of bounds water lol

You are right, a number of core console gamers (yes core does apply here) are slowly looking more towards PC for a superior experience, I have heard a lot of reasons too. Games like ARMA 3 and BF3 of course, but also people looking to play older games which they enjoyed with upgraded features due to a lack of continuity from sequels.

Then you have the casual market bleeding over from the Apple products and sites like Facebook. PC gaming is climbing and it's pretty likely ...

Not defending them, Like I said the price point is ridiculous, Just stating the fact, They do have a couple advantages over cheaper leads. Do I think that makes them worth it? No, In fact I would say with all benefits included they should be half that price still
