Exactly why I love it, I'm on my way to building a rig, But for a quick bit of surfing and being able to run Crysis/Fallout etc in the spare time it's great, It's of course not ideal to try get comfy for a long session due to the pad being nowhere near as good as a mouse. But yeah great way to kill time. The prices of GPU equipped laptops are getting really good now too. Mine cost £500, back when I last purchased a laptop I paid the exact same and it would struggle on PS1 emu...
Agreed, unless his entire collection support multi-threading he was certain to suffer issues. my 2.4GHz suffers on high if I try maxing draw distances in games that can't multi-thread
Yet mine outperforms current consoles...... Tell me, Why should I not use it for gaming? It has a cooling fan. And it runs about 75c most of the time while gaming. Would you not use it for a bit of gaming here and there when your on it?
It certainly is a good franchise though so I would suggest joining it if you can. There are currently deals on it on PS3 (first 2 but all 3 for sale) and they regularly appear in sales on steam

You don't really mod your pc you build it, But in all honesty, typing in 'how to build a gaming pc' on youtube should show you how its done. Then you just have to pick what bits you would put inside to suit your budget
If Valve had any intention to sell out to Sony we would have seen at least one other Valve game for sale over the PS3 steamworks overlay. But its just not happening.
The whole idea of having a PC in a nice case for the living room is readily available, Its called buying a PC with a nice case. Then putting it in the living room. Why would Sony or MS start trying to offer something that's already offered?

As much as I expect to see mods decline in the coming years, I really don't think its going to be abolished all around. Bethesda, Valve and Rockstar are all VERY aware that mods help shift copies in the slower selling times, like a year after release

Strange, It had similar effects on you as it did me, It has influenced me too. The game I plan (hope) to make with inspired ideas is another anti combat game, Except with a dinosaur theme, My general idea is that instead of the controls initiating an escape based moved that is based around you, I would rather it be based around the environment, Allowing you to pull in nearby object to block the pursuing enemies as you run for safety.

Yes but I don't see $300 as enough to cover getting the best tech at the lowest possible price, It is close, but I personally think even getting the best at the lowest price we will be paying at least a little more at launch day, No matter how much I wish we could get them cheaper and cheaper
