Still? This is the first week of its release... it should be selling reasonably during its first week.
It will be an interesting couple of years. While I expect the PS3 to continue the trend right now and win the EU and Japanese market on a weekly basis, I don't think it will ever consistently outsell the 360 in NA. There may be sporadic weeks when the PS3 outsells the 360 (MGS4, GoW3) but generally speaking I think the 360 will win the NA market - albeit by a smaller margin than it is right now.
I can't wait to play this one. The PS3 has been hurting for solid RPGs - or actually, RPGs in general. 2008 should be a good year :)
Sniper sounds like a press release every single post.
It is DS and Wii.
Nintendo has taken over the world. Considering the content that they are putting out, that is a sad thought...
When taking into account worldwide sales numbers, countries like Spain probably have little impact - but 400,000 is still a sizeable installed base in less than a year, considering the size of the market.
If nothing up until now has given you a reason to play your PS3, than you've bought the wrong system.
Like the article says, might as well just buy each player separately... get to take advantage of all the free discs being handed out to both formats, and save yourself a couple hundred bucks while you're at it.
I've watched it 11 times in a row... and it is still just as funny!
"GAME?!?!" LOL
Hahahaha, yes! That's the kind of marketing we need here. Can't wait to see how good Prologue does this week.
Sony should have put some marketing power behind this one, since it is such a renowned brand, and has the potential to be a huge seller... I'm not sure whats going on in the States on TV, but all I'm seeing in Canada right now is Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect for the 360 O_o
Either way, I'll be picking this one up this weekend if it's out.
I think this is another one of those bullshit stories about some guy trying to get a lot of publicity for his auction.
Not sure why HD-DVD owners would sell their current players or libraries... even if Blu-ray wins, it's not like the HD-DVD stuff is going to explode. Analysts make it sound like the early adopters of the losing format get totally screwed, but really, they are still experience HD movies, and after the wars over, they'll still be experiencing them.
I'm not too interested in Uncharted, but for a platformer I'll take Ratchet over SMG any day of the week.
And you're on here because....
Not sure why they're tacking on an online element... but oh well. Only good reason I can think of would be having an online mini-game aspect. Maybe collect and train a creature team, and bring it online for battle, or something similar.
That's the problem though. The Wii tries to appeal to everyone, but by giving it such gimicky controls limiting the graphic capabilities, it has sacrificed the hardcore audience. Developers can't release their biggest titles on the Wii because it isn't powerful enough to handle them. At this point though, I don't think it'd even be worth it to make downgraded Wii ports... the good games on the Wii don't sell nearly as much as they should as it is, considering the install base.
If only all you guys would stop arguing and read the article... how can you be mad when it says things like this:
"Nintendo's Wii, the 28,000 times over the counter walked"
It walked over the counter? LOL
Sorry, I've just been reading this site for too long, and seen too many arguments that just whine about the same things over and over. Every console has its advantages and disadvantages, and they've all got some amazing games (released...
They don't report PSN sales because unless Sony announces them, there is no way to track them.
