Jumping to conclusions whenever some even that can be viewed is even remotely downward will never cease. Reasons are never explored. People just hopped to make the most convenient negative suggestion that they can.
Origin reception came from the fact that it was no where near as good as the two previous games in the series, and that likely happened this game wasn't developed by the people who made the first two game.

Carrie away? This is the first I've seen today.
I guess any positive news about the Wii U must be getting carried away now.
It is releasing on all 3 next gen console. The last gen console versions were dropped due to the lack of next genfeatures and resources.
Yet, everytime I've seen the Vgchart posted for weekly sales with Nintendo hardware doing bad or Sony hardware doing good, no one attempted to question it.
They praised it like absolute fact.
Stopped taking risks? Taking risks is the entire reason the Wii U is doing the way it is. They done nothing but take risks.
They took risks with dual screen gaming, they took risks with motion control, they tooks risks with 3D, they took risks with the balance board and now they are taking a risk with the Wii U gamepad.
You must live in another dimension where things go in reverse.
People's chief complaint about Nintendo is that they aren...
Reggie isn't a dev of any sort. He doesn't decide what gets made.
This was retro's decision, so if you wish to attack someone, attack those responsible. Reggie is just doing his job and showing off what the dev's choose to make.
They are just seeing the signs of the time.
The Wii U just beat the PS4 in North America last week according to vgchartz.

No, you should know by now that only when Nintendo does something is it considered bad in the game industry right now.
Just like with the foxconn thing. Sony and Microsoft were using Foxcon for their console long before Nintendo and still do but Nintendo was singled out for attacks.
Because to fanboys and trashy gaming journalists, anything that Nintendo does must be desperation because they want the Wii U to be a dead console so badly.
Just go back to the articles about Nintendo releasing flyers showing the benefits of the Wii U over the Wii, much like how you will see software showing what you can get with a basic version/membership vs silver, gold and premium, where they spun it into Nintendo "trashing their own console".
@Guy above
How exactly is that backstabbing? Nintendo didn't ak them to develop it nor did they make any deal for it.
Sony wanted that on their own. I guess if someone walks up to me on the street to get me to eat something they have in a box and I say I don't want, I'm backstabbing them according to this logic.
Indeed, you didn't see back to back articles like this when Sony was bombing for 3 years at the start of the 7th gen. People were still over boasting and promoting them all the way.
Indeed, Nintendo haters are the most ignorant of gamers I've ever seen.
They always attack Nintendo for the things that they didn't do wrong or the things that are/were actually successful, and their is no real logic behind it.
NIntendo never owed Sony anything, so how could they back stab them?
The N64's release data had nothing to do with its problems, it was the high envelopment cost of having a console that is over twice as strong as e...
I would rather they announce something entirely new.
FIrst off that is false, they've had Nintendo Land and Wonderful 101 already without covering the eShop titles.
Second, that issue is even worse on the PS4/Bone
Stop trying to use rational logic. This has become a Nintendo bashing article. You should know better by now.
Reason and logic are frowned upon.
Trashy fanboyish comments, irrelevant conclusions and mantra like insults as always.
Every time I read dribble like this, its make me sad for what gaming as a whole has become.
Maybe Nintendo of America. America, but even then, that was the a different Rare headed buy different people who all quit Rare.
The guy who made this statement is trying to claim someone elses fame from a completely different time period.
First off, lets make sure eveyrone is reading what this article is comparing. They aren't comparing single systems to systems.
They are comparing an 2 "Entire corporations" consoles sales vs. a single game console. Noticed that is not Sony and Microsoft vs Nintendo. Or Sony and Microsoft systems vs. Nintendo's system. No 3DS here which is still dominating the market the last I checked.
If the "Wii U" were beating Sony and Microsoft...
I smell bitterness on your breath. Nintendo is just doing what they always do. Something that tyrannical giants like Sony and Microsoft don't.
That would be terrible. That would be like the Wii without the Wii U.
The Gamepad is the thing that makes the Wii U the only true next gen console for me, as it offers something I couldn't get last gen.
The gamepad is what makes the console great.
