High Quality games take a long time to develop, and Zelda games have always had long development times. HD is just going to make it longer. It would serve no purpose for them to show off a game that isn't even half finished and likely want be released for 2 years.

The gamepad funcitonality always has been the most praised feature in Wii U games. Without the gamepad, their would be no reason to buy the console at all.

No, just Sony and Microsoft. They have forgotten what game console are all about. It certainly isn't specs. That's what the PC is suppose to be about. Even then, PC is more in touch with true gamers.
Removing the gamepad would probably drop the cost to 249, not 199 and it would remove the primary reason to get the console.

No one I know who has used the gamepad has voiced acomplaint about it and those who voiced one before quickly change their opinion after they used.
Only people who already hated it before they used it(ie. HD twin fanboys) claim that its not comfortable.
