Talk about a bunch of BS. It's bullshit that here we are in the third year on the 360 that can't get stuff that's been in the game since oh say Genesis. What a load of crap.
They need to recall all existing units on the shelf ASAP and do whatever needs to be done to correct them. Selling the systems knowing they are going to fail from a specific problem is crazy. What happens if I take really good care of my Elite and it dies in three years and two weeks? I mean I never had an issue with my launch 360 and I feel bad about the coworker I sold it too. I hope it doesn't bite the dust on him. If it does though hopefully in the first three years.
I have to agree the Blue Dragon demo is pretty cool. It would be nice to know why I'm doing what I'm doing in it but I'll save that for when I play the full game.
Well it might not have looked as good right off the bat but we'd be getting the extra content for free most likely. When we are paying $60 a pop for the game then charging extra for the addons just breaks up the online community. I stopped play gears because I'm not playing for the new maps. That stuff would have been free on the PC.
As an Xbox360 owner I have to say Marketplace is kind of a joke so far. This kind of user created content was supposed to be part of marketplace. Instead it's just become a way for companies to sell you the extra stuff that they used to give you as a thank you for buying their game. Epic didn't even want to charge for the extra GOW content knowing that continued free support would drive sales of the main game. Instead MS along with EA and others are trying to nickel and dime us all to dea...
It's only a big deal if you want EE. If you do then snag one of these up since the 60GB with EE will be discontinued. If you don't care about EE there will be a model without it at $499.
It's sad reading across the web all the instant negativity. It's not like like Sony lied and people died or anything. They are just trying to phase out EE and go software emulation across the board.
Ok here is what I think is going on. Sony did reduce the price of the 60GB to $499.99 so it was a price cut for this model. When they sell through the existing 60GB model with EE then the model will be discontinued. At that point they will sell it without the EE and either a 60GB or 80GB drive depending on the status of the Motorstorm bundle. I don't see Sony going back to the $599 price point and abandoning $499 again. There will be a PS3 at $499 it just won't have EE and maybe a differ...
Probably a limited edition bundle until 60GB sells out. Then after they sell through the bundle it will drop back to $499.99 with the 80GB drive. It doesn't help the U.S. consumer right now that the dollar is at an all time low. This is coming from a Wii60 and as of today PS3 owner. They 20GB is no big deal since I'll probably swap the hard drive and put the 60GB on ebay. Plus right now I get the five crappy blu-ray movies that I'll probably ebay as well.
That would be foolish for a couple reasons. One is because the five Blue-ray titles offered aren't the best. Second and most importantly MS has a much better fall game lineup. Why sell the 360 and miss out on all those good games? Just hold off till 08 when all the PS3 heavy hitters are out.
I agree the game looks pretty awesome. It looks like EA might be earning my money as well.
The graphics on this game look great and this is coming from a Wii60 owner. I'd love to see what these guys could do with the Transformers license since that movie game blows. They could probably make a game that looks just like the Gen 1 cartoon.
Nintendo hands check to Washingtonpost.
Seriously I think Sony stole the show. Nintendo is turning into a lame minigame machine. That's cool and all but I'm starting to regret buying a Wii now. The games get old quick because there is no depth to them outside of Zelda which is just a Gamecube port anyways.
Very awesome, I can't wait for this game to come out. Looks like something I'm going to have a hard time putting down.
I have to agree with you. I currently have the Wii60 combo but seriously looking at the PS3 now. A ton of good games are coming out on all systems and I know I'm going to be broke.
I don't know what is up with the extra lights in the bumper of the Mustang and the turn signals on the front fenders. They better get rid on the shipping version. Other then that the game looks great! :)
If you go to selling one per store a day to two per store a day I'd guess that would be double. ;) j/k Seriously though I'm going to pickup one at some point when all this content they are showing is on the shelf for me to buy.
I just played the demo on 360 and I'm not impressed. I have to agree the graphics don't look any better but at least during play the game is smoother. I still don't understand why the refs aren't on the field yet? Is it that hard to put them and the chain gang back? I feel like I'm playing a scrimmage game. The new play calling menu sucks as well. Talk about trying to cram a bunch of stuff into a tiny window. Needless to say I have no interest in playing it again. I don't have much ho...
I just hope someone gets the guts one of these days to make a AAA FPS that lets you play as the Nazis. It would be interesting to play as them and see things from the perspective of a German solider. Maybe even offer alternate ending leading the Germans to victory. It certainly would be different and to a genre that has become stale of late.
After playing the demo I wasn't excited about the game. I still bought it hoping that the final product was better and it is. I've been hooked for a week now. I haven't played anything else besides Streets of Rage 2 on the Wii because it's something my girlfriend can play with me. She tried Forza and still needs to work on her driving skills. Typcial women drivers! ;)
I didn't have a problem with the interviewer just EA's responses. It was all a bunch of basic PR talk really offering nothing new. There is no reason they can't have refs and net and a host of other things. Madden is a cash cow and at $60 a year they should have enough people on the team to handle small things like this.
