I can see the difference in the screen shots between those taken from the CG portion and real-time. Looking at the hair tips me off pretty quickly. Regardless it looks great all around. This is coming from a wii60/former PS3 owner*.
*Don't worry Sony fan boys I'll be getting a PS3 again when some more games come out. Just can't justify that kind of coin for Resistance.
I didn't realize there were some native 1080P 360 games. I thought they were just 720P upscaled to 1080i or 1080P. That's pretty cool.
What would be really cool is if it looked like the Arcade Games except rendered in Realtime 3D and cleaned up a little. Maybe even be the first native 1080p 360 game....
360 owners without a hard drive. That was they can fit the game on a 64MB memory card since that is the biggest offered by MS at this time.
Honestly it's very hard to try to compare the two. GT HD isn't a full game just a small demo of what might be using GT4 as a base. The car models in GT HD are second to none. However the rest is blown aways but PRG3 and it should be because that is a complete game. Now when PGR4 and GT5 go head to head then we can see which is better in graphics because gameplay wise they always will be different.
The only thing on Shortage around my area is the Wii. The PS3 is turning up regularly at local stores. It's not hanging around for long but you can at least come across them now.
Forza 2 will hold me over for now as well. However considering this demo is an early look at GT5 PS3 owners have a lot to look forward to. This was the first game I played on my PS3 I bought yesterday. I will say though Sony needs to work on their online service because it's really slow compared to LIVE.
Seriously PS3 fan boys I piss away $50 at the bar on the weekends. That's nothing for what up to this point has been a pretty smooth online experience. I just picked up a PS3 yesterday and their online system needs a lot of work to get to the level of LIVE.
I'd like to see some gameplay video before I would say this is the most complete wrestling game ever made.
Not impressed by the realtime graphics at all. Also when I played the demo it felt like I was racing in slow mo. I didn't have a good feel of speed and control of the car.
If the install base gets big enough for the HD DVD drive MS should offer both HD DVD and DVD versions of the game. They did CD and DVD for some PC games why should 360 be any different.
Nice to see they got a patch in the works. However that's a lot of bugs. Software companies need to do better testing prior to release.
Where developers released free content as thanks for buying their game. When I read statements like this you can tell how profit driven society has become.
It's cool they made a song for the game. It's fitting for the type of game it is. I don't think Jay Z cutting a Gears of War track would fit at all. lol
...why it's a big deal to release it on both DVD and HD DVD. They release PC games on CD and DVD so why can't the 360 go dual format? I think it's stupid for Microsoft to limit the storage choice to just DVD. I could understand people being upset if they bypassed DVD but nothing would be wrong with both choices.
That they focus a little more on the overall story this time instead of having to get it from other sources.
When I played the demo I wasn't impressed at all. It seems like a very average basketball game with the players dipped in tire glaze. lol
Resistance might very well be a good game. However making a statement that it's why you should by the system is crazy. Unless you have money to burn dropping $500 for a $60 game is just crazy. There has to be more content worth your purchase. I wouldn't have bought my 360 had GOW been the only game I was interested in. It's going to be a little while until my PS2 gets it's upgrade.
EA is making up for the PS3 shortage by raping everyone on the 360 marketplace charging for stuff that should already be in their games. I guess $60 or $70 bucks per title isn't enough.
Problem is that the store doesn't really make much of anything off the console. It's the accessories and games in the bundle where the money is made.
