Most HDTV's have their colors way out of wack. Even the all mighty Kuro. At the Best Buys of the world they are in Torch mode. Everything blown out to get your attention and it looks like in the store because of the lighting. Now sure you can take it home and adjust it a little to get it looking pretty good. However, you can really set it off with a calibration. It's like buying a Mustang GT and while 300HP is nice with just a little work you can squeeze another 50HP out for free. :) ...
I played the original game on the PC years ago and loved it. The story was really good and it made we want to finish the game despite some of the flaws. I'm really looking forward to this one. Just like you said there really isn't any bad game in this genre.
Obama is a not a good choice, just because you speak well doesn't make you a good leader. He just want's to continue the entitlements that the Dems count on to secure votes. None of the choices are very appealing with McCain probably being the lesser of all evils.
That looked very good. However, my 8800GTS (G92) in SLI struggles with Crysis in Very High and this is even beyond that!
They could have been upfront about it and settled the suit sooner. Instead we got some BS about it being last gen tech and Sixaxis "Wii wanna be" crap.
Of course I can't find out because "the system is down". Gotta love MS Customer Support.
I'm with you. It was suppose to be Vader who hunted down the Jedi and killed them. Now having some scrub do it makes Vader look less badass.
Just dumped my Sony 46XBR4 for a new Panny 50PZ85U and have been very happy with it. Plasma is fine for games even long COD4 sessions.
This won't last. The SSA needs to get their mainframe equipment!
Great, gives me time to get my Elite back from RRoD land to play it day one so my friends don't get the jump on me.
That is pretty good. EA is a joke and the whole DLC has just become a way to nickle and dime a gamer. What happened to the good old days were little DLC was free and big releases were called expansion packs? Oh that was on the PC like four years ago. lol
The 8800GTS 512MB (G92) in SLI is the best bang for the buck. Assuming your motherboard does SLI. It's what I run in my rig.
If they could get me a good 4hrs. + of new single player DLC for less then $10 bucks I might be down for that.
I only played the N64 version but it was a great game. I guess at some point I might pickup the XBox version on the cheap and give it a spin.
When you buy Madden 09 you can only play with the teams in one division. If you want to play with the rest of the NFL teams you have to pay for each divison. I mean if it works this way for Bad Company why not Madden? ;)
When marketplace was announced for the 360 it sounded cool. I'd figure this far in we'd be paying for new content that comes out after the game is released. Then here would be a ton of fan created content and games as well. Basically all we have is some extra pay content and EA acting like BMW of Lincoln with their business practices. I was afraid we'd have to pay to unlock content that was already in the game. So far PSN and Marketplace have been a joke and EA the biggest sleeze of them...
SHIPMENT!
I got the box yesterday and I'm sending my 360 out for repair today. Hope for a quick turn around.
Yup that is the key. This is why Microsoft was not making the update available to those without the proper drivers in Windows Update.
Microsoft is catching some negative heat for this update but so far on my 32bit and 64bit boxes it's been smooth sailing.
Then again like you I'm always making sure I'm update to date on my drivers.
Not everyone likes the look of a TV calibrated to the D65 standard. It might look too yellow or red (warm) to the viewer which is use to the blue bias of most LCD's standard settings. However, watching it for a week will adjust your eyes to the new colors. If you don't like to just do what works for you, nothing is wrong with that it's just you might not be watching it the way it's suppose to look to the creator.
