It's the reason I bought a 360.
Can't wait for this one. Levine back at the helm? Had me at hello. And I think Bioshock 2 gets a bum rap. Yeah it wasn't the first and yeah you being a big daddy but losing substantial health when someone hits you with a golf club makes no sense, but overall it was a solid game. If you haven't play it yet you can probably get it for less than 30 bucks. You should check it out if you're a fan.
Looks like the wait is going to be well worth it.
YES!! NO NUKE!! DING DONG THE NUKE IS GONE!
But try to look at it from the perspective of someone who's loved one was killed by a Taliban member. I know I know...same thing for Mafia, right? I guess that argument applies but maybe people's sensibilities are heightened because one party was killed in an official government action while the other is just a random act of violence.
I dunno. I get it though. And if the soldiers really want the game there's always Amazon, Buy, etc. Heck, there are usually game s...
IF there's no nuke. The nuke really ruined MW2 because everyone is camping in the hopes of getting it.
Take away that game breaking kill streak and it's a day one pick-up for me.
but I'm a big Halo fan and after playing the Reach beta at a friend's house, yeah...I got a 360.
I didn't buy the new slim model. I don't think a 360 is worth that much. I got a non-slim Elite brand new for $150 USD. I sold ODLC and Forza, so I got a pretty good deal on Reach when I get it.
If you're not a Halo fan and you've gone this long w/o getting a 360, then you probably don't need to. I think we're nearing the end of t...
I think MS should give you an option.
1) Free access to multiplayer games. Basically just allow me to play online and use my headset. If you want to restrict the manner in which I can add friends or whatever, cool. But at least let me enjoy the multiplayer function of games w/o mandating that I pay a fee.
2) XBL gold as is. All the bells and whistles for 60.00 annually. Prob with this is that multiconsole owners are probably going to start to question the w...
it's not really 60 bucks. I mean, you're only saving 60 bucks if you plan on using Live for one year. If you plan on using Live for any extended period of time, then at some point the cost of the "$300 machine" will be less than what you pay in online fees.
sorry. I did mean a year.
The #1 reason for the price increase is that MS can do this and many of us are stuck. What, are you going to trade in your entire game collection and take that hit on trading in your probably non-slim 360 with the expired warranty so that you can get a PS3 and try to purchase all your games again? No. Most people are going to rationalize it and say it's still about 5.00 bucks per month.
If I'm Sony, I'm coming up with a Kevin Butler commercial about this ASAP.
I know that seems odd but if you look at it as you owning a 360 or using XBL on a console for more than just one year (ala your $60.00 statement), then yes, you'd save money by spending 299.99 now rather than 60 per depending on how many years you plan on using the service.
Lets be honest, when MS' next console comes out there's no reason to think there won't be a mandatory fee for live. By then, MS may decide to raise the fee by another 20 or maybe even 40 b...
Wow. Just wow. Can we put the tired "fanboy" argument aside and just look at this as gamers? As a gamer, aren't you somewhat offended by a company arbitrarily raising the price of a fee to play games online without providing any sort of justification? I'm not saying that ten dollars is so much money that no one could afford it. I'm saying that as gamers we deserve more than this. Yes XBL has all the features that are heralded so much around here but when you break it dow...
Talk about bad timing. I literally just purchased a new non-slim elite online through Ebay the other day (I know, never buy a system on Ebay. Prob is I couldn't afford a brand new slim unit at 299.99 plus tax). That same day I picked up the Orange Box and a battery cable kit. This morning the seller tries to hit me with some BS about not receiving payment until the end of September because I used a credit card and that once I send her the purchase price again she'd send the product an...
I love the 20 bucks back thing that Amazon does. The 20 I get from Reach will probably go towards GT5. Amazon Prime FTW!
but only when used by the people that needed toy manufacturers to warn them that ingesting small plastic parts can be hazardous to your health.
These guys act like if you play ME2 w/o having played ME1 you'll just be lost. Please. I didn't play AC1 and I went right to AC2 and I didn't miss a beat. It only takes a second to go to wiki and read the game's plot. If you really want to catch up you can go to youtube and watch a bunch of cut scenes.
As far as character carry-over, well that's a cool feature but that doesn't make ME2 significantly inferior w/o it. A lot of people are butt hurt over ...
Prob is you have to ask yourself which audience is going to pay that kinda money for Kinect.
The "Hardcore"? Maybe some of them. But are the guys that are about to buy Black Ops and Reach really going to pay 150 for Kinect?
The Casuals? I think this is who MS really wants. They want that Wii crowd that buys Wii fit and what not. Problem is the price. Not only do you have to convince these people to pass up Nintendo and the known product for someth...
I think it's pretty smart to do this. After a game is out for a few months and DLC starts to drop, people that don't have the game are probably looking at the used version so they can get the DLC and pay what they would've paid had they got the game brand new. GOTY edition allows the pubs/devs to get those people to maybe look at paying full price. Works for both sides imo.
Not necessarily. It's pretty safe to say that Reach is Bungie's last Halo game. And it's one where they finally have the Covenant playing a major part while upping the visuals to a level I think is worthy of a next-gen/current-gen system like the 360.
I didn't get a 360 when Halo 3, Halo Wars, or Halo ODLC came out because I didn't feel those games were worth the investment. After playing the Reach beta with family and friends, I felt justified in making...
