smh@all of you claiming that was excessive. The guy stated police several times, gave an order, and the kid proceeded to act disorderly. If the cop hadn't acted in that manner and the kid had a weapon and injured someone you'd all be screaming that that it's the cop's fault for not doing enough.
I saw that same article lokiroo. You gotta think Kotaku is a little schizo at this point. I mean, they had nothing but glowing comments about the Move and yet they use all of one gamestop as an indication of how the midnight launch went across the country. There must be some deep seeded resentment of Sony that they can only suppress for so long.
Those chain messages really caused my friends list to plummet. I must have deleted 15 people or so just because they were stupid enough to believe that Sony is actually monitoring all the messages sent on PSN in order to reward the people that forward a specific message to a specific number of people.
Seriously, if you're scared of the difficulty don't be. The game is effing amazing. You only die when you do something stupid or get cocky. It's a great game people. From the graphics to the online interactions to the weapon upgrades...you name it and it has it.
Driving Sims usually frustrate me. I'm more of a Burnout or Need for Speed type of guy. But this game is simply too epic to not pick up.
Yeah, those guys really know how to squeeze money out of their customers.
I think this shows just how important MS thinks that 4gb sku is. It's obvious they think little of it (other than allowing them to stay cheaper than the PS3) because you gotta think a game as big as Reach would've been tested for compliance on all hardware skus. Hope they get a fix out quick and I'm so glad I got a sku with a big hdd.
How about simply applauding a company for putting aside it's former unfounded position towards a platform and congratulating PS3 only owners for finally having the opportunity to play Valve games made by Valve rather than getting a port made by some inferior team?
I'm assuming you were a gamer before you were a troll. It's not too late to go back.
Nothing wrong with not "loving" Halo. Just don't hate on me for enjoying the franchise.
or you can get an Elite :P
BTW, I just replaced my 60gb with a 250gb with Madden 11 (sweet) and while I don't think the new PS3s are as pretty as the launch 60gb models, I gotta say the darn thing is quiet as heck. And my room doesn't get hot anymore after playing for more than an hour. I swear I'll never buy a launch sku again.
It's the drug dealer philosophy. "Your first hit's for free." Going to have a lot of new 360 owners because of Reach. Heck, you're going to have a lot of existing 360 owners contemplate re-subscribing to XBL Gold. Makes sense to get them hooked on online play and then pull the plug on that after 48 hours. It's like ensuring an additional 49.99 outta these people.
AM I JUST A MONEY TREE TO YOU MS!!!
*cries as he gives MS his money*
Amazing how you can improve the visuals while retaining the vibrant color palette. That said I will be coping Gears 3 day one :P
God, as a brand new 360 owner the most painful part is giving up the 40 bucks for an XBL subscription. Thankfully Amazon gave me $20 bucks for preordering Reach. At least now I know I'll have online access until my XBL card arrives.
Can't wait for Reach. I was playing the firefight mode in ODST just to get hyped and I can't wait to see how Bungie improved on that.
So your point is because there are certain supernatural aspects in games I should ignore not being able to do something as simple as moving and shooting?
RE6 huh? Not interested if I can't move and shoot (you know, like you can in real life). Time for Capcom to change with the times.
Release date delivery for the effing win! The only drawback to getting Reach is being limited to playing because of school. Can't wait though. Great reviews across the board.
Kudos to Bungie. Already pre-ordered mine from Amazon. Let the fight for Reach commence!
And it's a 9.5 not a 9.8. Not sure how the submitter and the people that approved missed that.
Bubbles up. I love the music and the music videos. Some really great memories in my life involved my family gathering around to enjoy that man's music and dancing.
I can separate my appreciation for his music from my disdain for what he's alleged to have done. Same way I can watch the old Naked Gun movies and laugh my @$$ off despite one of the film's major stars being on trial for murder.
Personal controversies aside, the guy was probably the biggest star in the world during the 80s. As a kid this game was amazing. It was disappointing that it wasn't like the arcade version, but it was a good game. Back to Demon's Souls I go.
lol@Shanks. I can't wait to see how some of these pro-360/anti-PS3 sites review Gran Turismo 5. "It's only a 6 out of 10 because the graphics are too photo-realistic.""It 's a great game but the delays are the reason it's only a 7 out of 10."
Like you said, the fact that they could only find a way to knock it down to a 3 must mean it's pretty darn good.
