I have no problem with it. And if they have a beta that I really want in on (e.g., Killzone 2, Resistance 2) then I'll spend the 3 bucks. It's not that serious. Main thing is I have the option to pay for this or to not pay for it. I can still enjoy all the FREE services of PSN w/o ever even picking up Qore.
and it sucks it's not like we HAVE to use it.

As soon as I'm paying a fee to use PSN my expectations go up considerably. For now, I have no complaints about this free service that is now argueably on par with Live (and looking like it will pass Live in quality very soon).

360 sales rising? It's the cheaper of the two. I should hope it would sell more. If a gamer can't afford a console do you really think an uninformed parent is going to opt for a console that's 100 plus dollars more (talking the core version).

than Live was. PSN is improving at a faster rate. PSN will have access to Sony's movies, music, television exclusively...and oh yeah..it's free.
By this time next year we'll all be comparing trohpies across a multitude of games, the video store will be thriving, more classic PS1 and PS2 games, and who knows what else.
Cost of LIve membership since 360 launch: almost 200 bucks (ouch)

like most of you said, just show me the games. Enough with the whole verbal shots across the board. Produce good games and the rest will take care of itself.
you're going to lose a lot on the trade-in. With RROD being so prevelant, people are going to be cautious of a used 360. Keep it and enjoy Gears 2 and all those great games that brought you to the system in the first place. But it's definetely time to at least consider picking up a PS3. That is unless you're just some blind fanboy that hates a Corporation that doesn't even know you're alive.
not fair to compare the sales of it to the other two. In fact, some pundents have describe the Wii as a toy. People are buying it for Wii Sports and nothing else. And like I said, it's selling more but that doesn't mean the other two aren't doing well.
And price is a major factor here. Nintendo is actually making money on hardware and they've been making money since day one. The Wii probably only costs a fraction of what it's sold for to produce.

I want every game from LBP on to have Trohpy support. If it doesn't have it then maybe it's an indie game or a PS2/PS1 classic. But I'd really like to see ALL games have trophy support after LBP.
I like that we have it in place. I like that it's not "cheesy" or "corny". The multtiered system is sweet.
If Devs don't want to take the time/money to patch it in for past games they darn sure had better have it in future games.

I agree with you on this. SOny came out after MS and should have been able to at least adjust the services offered after seeing how big achievements, in-game access to the dash, custom soundtracks, etc were. That said, I can't really fault them because I have not paid one cent to use PSN whereas you, and any other XBL gold subscriber, pay a fee just to connect online. So really, everytime you buy a game, play a demo, play a game online, etc, you're sorta paying MS for the ability to do this. ...
