Street Fighter 3, the most beloved of all SFs imo, changed the throw controls. I loved it. Most loved it. It changed the counter system. It was amazing. Why are you guys all of a sudden opponents to change when Capcom has shown they can do it well. Hell, Capcom are the innovators of SUrvial Horror imo. Resident Evil was a big reason why I got a PS1.

but it's not just because you can't "run and gun." That's a small thing. The big thing to me is that you can't run and gun AND the melee attack is practically useless. And ammo is uber limited. So you're basically this bad ass soldier that can't move and shoot and can't engage in hand to hand combat effectively. You're effectively a mobile turret of sorts. Boooo.

Like I was just telling some guy in another new article, there is a double standard. Look at how they're reviewing KZ2. Good scores but the scores are almost because the game is so good that the gaming sites would just look silly if they knocked it down to AA or A.

There is a double standard. You can act like there isn't or that I'm projecting but it's there. I read the reviews. Most of these guys are very forgiving of 360 faults and very hard on PS3 faults. I don't know what happened to cause this ...
haven't played it yet on PS3. I can't confirm that you can move while aiming on either version. All I can say is I didn't like it. Yeah, I know this is Resident Evil and this is how they do things but that's no excuse. I'm a friggin special forces soldier and yet I can't move and shoot? Are you kidding me? I can't even melee effectively? Give me a break. It makes it worse that the game is friggin gorgeous. I've been waiting for it for some time and I was really disappointed.

you could've easily called a "bubble hit" on me. I listened to the latest episode and it was much better. Weapon X (I know his name now) must be from the real South because homie sounds like a straight up country boy, but, I am getting more accustomed to him and I can actually understand what he's saying now. Feels like I'm learning a new language. Do me a favor and provide directions to the chat room you guys use during the show (if it's open to listeners that is).

but it is a very convenient excuse to say that remaining still while shooting adds to the suspense. I call BS on that card. The fact that you're a walking turret that can't move when shooting (nevermind that you're character is a bad ass soldier and not some ordinary person), combined with a melee attack that is essentially useless all adds up to a very frustrating experience.

Waiving the install or mandating an install is no good. Give the gamer the option. I have a large HDD. I don't mind installing a game. But hey, KZ2 is a graphical monster. Props to GG for doing what the fanboys said they couldn't, and props to SOny for showing us all that blu-ray matters for gaming.
it's a dying trend but it's still there. I've been yelling about the double standard forever. 360 shooters don't have to have a story to get high scores but a PS3 gets slammed for having a nonsensical story? It's laughable and I choose to avoid those sites as a result.
Heck, Xplay is really getting close to getting the same sort of treatment. Was that comment by Morgan really necessary? While 360 fanboys laugh at that line I hope they remember that PS3 owners actually have a AAA...
that's a great score for a site known to disfavor the PS3. Still can't believe IGN only gave it a 9.4. I guess the reviewer was trying to save face after giving R2 a 9.5.
How can we even talk about a slim sku when the regular sku is still overheating?
I don't know how MS got to this point after making the original xbox which as about as solid as a system could get in terms of reliability. One time my 14 year old cousin actually stepped on my xbox and it worked just fine.
The 360, however, is just laughably faulty. Launch skus, newers skus, elite skus, limited skus, etc keep getting RROD or other problems. I have to pay to play games...

That 30 million can pay for bus advertising across the country for a month. Why I still don't see KZ2 ads in the train or on the bus in NYC is insane. But hey, it's still early. Sony has to start advertising at least two weeks prior to launch imo.
