I like his show but I approach it for what it is-a relatively good video blog of sorts starring a guy that may not be the most skilled in the English language but who is nevertheless passionate about games.
I'll ignore his articles until they're written better, but his show is still entertaining.

but how can you [Edge]be this wrong? Especially when SOny has made the game available for so long. Did they have someone that hates FPS' review the game? A 7? Look, a seven is not a terrible score, don't get me wrong, and I've only played the demo of KZ2 so I can't point to the game as a whole, but when the entire gaming journalism medium (by and large) is praising the game it really makes you wonder whether Edge A: knows what it's doing or B: has a bias.

I was a little ho hum about the graphics. Don't get me wrong, they were pretty but I wasn't floored. That was the first play through of the demo.
I'm on my 20th play through and now, after noticing all the little details, all the little touches paid here and there, the lighting, the AI, the guns, the...wow...the game is fire. The game is the truth. There is no 5 hours before it grabs you like GTAIV. The game is amazing.
Edge got a lot of attention but none that benefited them. The article itself was a scan of their mag which actually costs them sales. The link provided didn't go to their site. And now people like me know that they're not a reliable source for game reviews.
The edge attention killed them. Much like all the attention A-rod is getting right now is hurting him.
for one, he needs to hire someone to look over his posts to make sure they're written correctly. For two, he has to ignore the fanboys/haters of the world.
I'm sure he deals with an amount of racism, hate, etc that he doesn't even tell us about. Then again, I'm sure a lot of game "journalists" (and I use the phrase loosely) do as well.

unfortunately when I go in a retailer and tell them I need all three consoles because its better for me as a gamer but I don't have the money to purchase the other two consoles they only laugh and ask me to leave.
You people that own all three act like the whole world has the means to purchase all three. I'm sure it is the best way to go but a lot of people simply don't have more than a thousand dollars to invest in buying three consoles.
I don't recall any PS3 site giving me their impressions of any 360 exclusive...even the GTA DLC.

I agree. It is all about the games in the end. You frequently mention that you own all three consoles so I'm sure you'll be doing just that. My comment went to all the "PS3 is dead" people. You guys really thought Sony, who ran the past two generations, was not going to take this one as well? A 360 site is raving about the PS3. I bet MS doesn't comp these guys free live accounts. Must be nice to have a system that you don't have to pay to play games online. You know, just like the PC. Not like MS making a faulty console didn't help them. In fact, had the 360 not failed like it does, MS might've actually closed the door on Sony this gen. Oh well, better luck next gen.

Furthermore, his show's headlines are merely his opinion. I don't even think he's presenting it as fact. We all know the routine: he does a show in which he voices his opinion, gives crazy rumors, and provides a laugh or two. Don't approach the show like you would a review from whatever your favorite gaming site is. Approach it for entertainment.

HHG should at least proof read his articles before he submits them. And if he can't proof read them then he should send them to Torrence so he can. The articles read like something a grade school kid would write. Typos by the boatloads, misuse of parenthesis, capital letters not used where they should be, etc.

Yes it is their opinion but what factors influenced that opinion? Was it a desire to be different or appear to be the only right review amongst the 9's? of the world? It comprises their journalistic integrity imo and it is at least conversation worthy. So yeah, no need to tell us to ignore them and that it's their opinion; we all already know that. If you don't want to engage in the conversation the exit is a mere back button away.
