I have no doubt that it works incredibly well, tech demos are designed to show things off in a controlled environment. I will wait and see what games actually make use of VR and how they compare to playing the game normally. I was so looking forward to playing GT5 in 3D until I actually played it in 3D. I'm sure something will have to be sacrificed for VR gaming, I just hope we dont end up with a bunch of next gen EyeToy games.

Yeah, no, you're right. MS should just let it die a natural death in Japan and China....you know, follow Sony's lead re: the Vita.

It may be selling poorly in some regions but at least they are trying to generate interest.

I'm not convinced as yet and need to see some purpose built VR games and not just VR equivalents of EyeToy games. I'm hoping Sony will have some great things to show off at E3 this year to help convince me.

Imagine if the upcoming Battlefront did have space battles and you could pop on the morpheus and feel like you're in the cockpit of an X-Wing! Or if wearing it made you feel like you were actually inside your titan in Titanfall 2.

I wonder if we'll ever get a posting on N4G where the fanboys dont come out to masturbate.

I agree. I'm quite happy for sub 1080p as long as it means a locked framerate and NO screen tearing. Both consoles may be capable of 1080p but it definitely comes at the expense of something else, albeit not as much of an expense on PS4.

No, those 5 games won't save the Vita. Needs something a lot more AAA than those, e.g. GT Vita, GTA Vita, etc.

Yeah, no. I hated the Ewoks. Basically happy meal friendly mascots. I couldnt believe that after the dark and moody Empire Lucas took us on a journey of the teddybears. However, in saying that the Ewoks are nowhere near as bad as what he did in the prequel trilogy.

Minecraft at number 5! I wonder how many units this still sells globally. I also wonder what plans MS has to get everyone to buy it again, i.e. Minecraft 2.0

Lots of wishful thinking but I cannot see Sony investing any time in relaunching the Vita. Not unless they come up with a revamped model but then they got burnt when they tried that with the PSP Go.

Imagine if they had nailed the Vita release of COD. That could have been a real game changer.

I would not consider it being blinded at all. Basically you are forced to buy a madatory memory card to actually get the full benefit of the Vita. Now, if the cards were priced realistically or if Sony had thrown in an 8 or 16GB card from the get go then it would not have been an issue.

What I expect is for people to act as though they were not hiding behind anonymity before posting comments. Its scary to think I may know some of the people in here in real life. I dare say if many of the "fanboys" in here were exposed and their behavior was on display at a job interview then they would have no luck at all. I for one certainly wouldn't hire someone who exhibited some of the behaviors on display in here.

I have no problem with people being pa...

Evidentally according to some if you only have an Xbox One then no, you cannot enjoy the game.

After reading the full article its clear that once again a certain faction is focussing on the negatives in an effort to put anyone down for buying an Xbox One.

The one great thing about gaming before the days of the internet was fanboys didnt really have a voice and everyone just focussed on the games and actually playing them. I own both consoles and they only thing fanboys are managing is to put me off gaming altogether. They are sumply taking the fun out of it.

@HighRes

Of course things keep advancing however, would you rather have a mobile device that does AAA gaming or would you rather have a console that stays at home under the TV?

I imagine a time (some are doing it now) where you get home, dock your smart device next to your TV, pick up a controller and start playing games. Services like PS Now signal a change in the way games will be delivered and consumed. There is nothing stopping Sony delivering PS4 gamin...

I have to agree. Last thing we need are fan-mobs with agendas to disrupt proceedings.

Who cares. Lets just wait till they announce something more otherwise its all just pi$$ing into the wind.

With over 100,000,000 downloads on Android and probably similar numbers on Apple devices this makes good sense. Those who moan about it are clearly in the minority.

Not paid once to play and up to level 396...

On another note, games like this were sorely needed on the Vita to give it wider street appeal.

You're assuming 2 things:

1. Streaming games wont be a viable option in the future.
2. Mobile devices wont continue to evolve.

I love the idea of having a powerful mobile device that can be used as a console when docked next to my large screen display at home. Hate spending so much on a console and it sits unused most of the day at home. Throw in the fact that streaming will be mainstream by 2020 and your games go wherever your mobile device goes.

People need to see past what mobile gaming means today. Smartphones and tablets are just another hardware device that can be sync'd with displays,...
