KZ:SF has to be my least liked of the franchise on console. Generic gameplay, average story and a real mixed bag in terms of visuals at times. The ending when you take the shot is simply B grade all the way.
KZ2 is still the best in the series for me, for both single and MP..
That review was hard to sit through. Well, I guess it was less of a review and more just a casual opinion. As for the game, I see a future Games for Gold in this one so will pass for now.
Sorry, but any framerate drops in a game like Project Cars which commands 60fps is unacceptable. Dont care which platform and at what resolution its running they should have kept optimising until they achieved a locked 60fps. And if optimising means 2d crowds, less effects, etc then so be it.
I couldn't care less about what it will and wont make it in relation to the PS4. I game for the games and not for fanboy pi$$ing contests. If it was only about specs then why would anyone buy consoles over PCs?
Does not have to be mind blowingly different, optimisations might just mean they can firm up the framerate and eliminate screen tearing.
You do realise that with the release of Windows 10 that more people will end up gaming on DX12 than on PS4s? Kind of makes sense for developers to have it on their roadmap don't you think?
I don't think it having an effect was really in question, its more the level of effect. However, to me any improvement should be seen as a positive as it should for anyone who owns or is considering getting the X1.
Oops, hit disagree by mistake. This site lags big time on tablets because of the ads. Anyway, really looking forward to E3 this year. Considering taking the day off work to see all the live broadcasts...which I think start around 5am in NZ.
Does it have to surpass PS2? surely with so many analysts stating that console gaming is on the decline that it would be good just to surpass PS3 numbers I would have thought.
The bigger problem for console gaming is software sales. Does not matter how many consoles are in curculation the sell through rate for most games is extremely low in comparison. Even with 80,000,000+ PS3s in cucirculation most games are lucky to hit 1,000,000 in sales. Its no wonder publishers are ...
Goodness, not sure I like these sorts of claims as they can come across a little arrogant. Just let the games do the talking and stop with all the pi$$iing.
@chaos: and what on the PS4 has all that you pointed out?
Both consoles are what they are. They could have been so much more but then who wanted to pay last gen launch prices again.
I'm more than happy with my X1 and use it for media and gaming. PS4 just for gaming...last gen it was PS3 for media and gaming.
Although some fun games at the beginning of last gen things really started for me with the release of Gears of War.
Framerate seems fine except for the cut scenes where its quite bad at times. Overall its not effecting gameplay at all though.
oops...I meant 4 PS3s above. Now Im down to 2 PS3s, 1 PS4 and one Xbox One.
I think if they show off Minecraft Hololens edition that might generate some interest. I would really love to know what they have planned for the Minecraft universe.
@nin: I had 4 PS4s....why? kids.
I love playing co-op and multiplayer with my kids.
It looks and plays fantastic on X1. The way certain people were talking about it you would have been forgiven for thinking the X1 version was completely unplayable because of severly downgraded visuals. Rest assured thats not the case at all.
@Sniper: What sort of setup do you have driving your Rift?
Ok, I saw nothing but Eyetoy VR experiences in that video. Basically standing on the spot, leaning, looking round. Immersive yes, impressive no. E3 better show off some real VR gaming.
ok, so what is an acceptable timeframe between a game releasing on one platform and then another for it still to be considered an exclusive?
The day a game is released on subsequent platforms is the day it stops being an exclusive. Resogun in a Playstation exclsuive but not a PS4 exclusive.
