Granted, but look how long some people play this game because they enjoy it. $100 is not much to spend when you look at it that way. I've paid more than that for some supposed AAA games that only last 6-10 hours.
Lets not forget Eye of Judgement which was a similar game. Not only did you have to shell out for a PS3Eye and the game but to stay competitive you had to keep buying card packs.
Will certainly be the biggest given the movie hits this holiday season. Not sure if it will be better than Halo given it has no single player. Time will tell. Either way, if you're a fan of both franchises then getting an XB1 would not be a bad idea.

Really? they look cheap and nasty. Now if they had the same styling as Sony's premier cellphone or tablet then I would consider one. But these just look like a cheap plastic knock off watch, the kind of thing you can win at a Time-Out or carnival.
Dont think I conveyed that as my expectation at all as I was purely making an observation. I'm well aware of what sort of compute power would be needed and it certainly is not present in current gen consoles.
So, if NOW is the Netflix of gaming, where are the current gen new releases so I dont have to buy a PS4?
There are some great comparison videos of Ryse vs the Order on Youtube. Given that a launch game on one system can be compared to a recent release on another to me says they did a pretty good job with Ryse.
If you're into the style of gameplay then neither game will disappoint - both still look great!
Season passes should come free with the game or be at a vastly reduced price. The only time you should have to buy a season pass at full price (or at all) is if you are buying the game second hand. Obviously devs are wanting to try gain revenue from second hand game sales....but not at the expense of pi$$ing off those that pay full new release prices at retail or off PS or XB stores.
I agree, as long as the frame rate for this sort of game does not dip to a level where its detrimental to the gameplay.
People simply expect too much from a laptop / tablet CPU and 2 year old GPU tech that was never high end.
Well maybe if fanboys didnt jump on every pixel or blade of grass that differs between versions developers would be more forthcoming. Honestly, rivalry is one thing but the hate that is being exhibited this gen is plain right disgusting.

Watching the footage of this game a little closer on Youtube you can start to see some of the visual trickery and shortcuts. For instance, raindrops on the car fade out and the drops themselves are a repeating animation. They also dont reflect light or distort the reflection of the environment on the paintwork. Overall its still a nice effect as your concentrating on the road but I guess we are still years away from life like weather effects.

Really is a deal breaker for many, me included. That and of course they never released Gran Tursimo Vita. Loved GT on my PSP.

Dont have an ios device but there are some great games available on the platform....Hearthstone is a great example. Most tablets support mice and controllers nowadays so there are some great games to be had on mobile devices.
Will wait for reviews on this one. Still playing Forza 5 so need a good reason to buy CARS so close to Forza 6 release. I appreciate more cars on track, weather and day/night cycles but given I've not seen if it has a stable 60fps I'm going to wait.

Won't be buying this one. Purchased MW last year after a 2 year break from the franchise and the only thing that changed was that it moved even further away from its gaming roots. I also could not believe the multiplayer lobby was just as inept as the one used for COD4 all those years ago!
I've seen nothing of BO3 that has me hyped for the game as yet. When I watched the trailer all I could think about was how out of place the gameplay looked when paired with Paint...

You want to know what is worse than the HMC issues...couple of years ago when I was classed as being a Pirate by Sony because they wanted to reduce their active system policy from 5 down to 3. I had recently purchased my 4th PS3, all in the same household, all for my children...yet now I was a pirate.
