Not trying to undermine Driveclub, far from it, but until Drivecluh features a larger open world map where the player can traverse then its not a like for like comparisson.
I'm inclined to agree. Maybe if it had been released last year but we're now only 6 months or so away from Forza 6. That's nowhere near enough time for me to play a game like CARS.
Forza 5 is easily the best looking entry in the series to date, even after the visual downgrades from the reveal game play. However, are you now seriously suggesting that 2D crowds prevent Forza 5 from being a quality "racing game"?
Thats a shame, A.I. can make or break a game like this. Really wish they employed a drivetar system like Forza 5. I noticed over the months opponent A.I. has improved a lot since when it first hit retail.
I still need more reviews...not quite sold on getting the PS4 version or waiting for Forza 6 on X1.
The CPUs in the Morpheus will do nothing to help the GPU,take a closer look at what they are used for.
Although VR will work with current gen consoles something will definitely have to give in terms of visuals and or game complexity for it to work well. It will be akin to when Sony started supporting 3D on the PS3, yes it did it but the visuals took an obvious hit.

Sorry, that openig statement is nonsense. CARs may be a better simulator but to say Forza 5 was not a quality "racing game" is not correct. Now, if the review had said "racing simulator" then I'd be more inclined to agree. However, take the diving assists off and Forza is frigging hard unless you use a good driving wheel setup.
Definitely wait for a few more reviews but given the better framerate I'll likely get the PS4 version. Still not impr...
They both have their pros and cons. I use to think like you with DVDs and Blu-Ray. However, resale value is plummeting and its just a heck of a lot more convenient to access my content anywhere from any device. I also no longer have to worry about my physical content being damaged, stollen or lost.
Those preferring physical content are already in the minority when you take all platforms into consideration. Next gen will likely be all digital.
with streaming services likely to replace consoles in the future I love the idea of using my mobile device for gaming on the go and serious gaming when I use it with a bigger display and controller.
Why is Titanfall always singled out? was not the first MP only game released, i.e. MAG, Warhawk....on that note, where is Warhawk for PS4!
MP only games are fine as long as they excel in providing a great MP experience. For me Titanfall's biggest letdown was the poorly implemented lobby system and lack of clan support. The game could have owned from an eSports perspective!
I still play it on a weekly basis, easily the best FPS multiplayer so far this gen IMO. I just wish more people would play some of the other modes as I have never been a big fan of team deathmatch (i.e. attrition).
Team deathmatch is just run'n'gun but with less players out to get you. There is nothing really "team" about it.
I thought they were going to focus on the mobile gaming market...which according to analysts is where the big money is nowadays.
I would go fully DD with my games if it were not for the price. Paying significantly more than retail is absurd! however, I guess thats the bi-product of having no real competition when it comes to buying digitally.

Which is why my X1 takes centre stage in my media centre. Use to be my PS3 and would have been my PS4 but I just love the whole voice commands, ability to control your other devices via the IR blaster on the back of the Kinect and the fact it plays media from virtually anywhere, including USB.
The X1 also enabled me to retire my WDTV live!
Yes, fully aware that Sony is not developing Project Cars but Sony has been pushing that there console does 1080p. Developers are of course free to choose the resolution however, look how they also get slammed if its not 1080p or the same as the X1 version of a game. There is now an expectation that the PS4 is all about 1080p.
A drop to 900p if it means they can pack in more scenery, objects, better particle effects with a garanteed 60fps to me is better than 1080p. Obviou...
Project CARS demands 60fps given the nature of the game. If it was an arcade racer then 30fps would be more than fine.
They needed to scale back something else in order to lock in 60fps, change the nature of the game or not release it at all on consoles. The game is not broken, far from it but its just not the experience I was hoping for at all.
