I'm not sure a game that features lots of fast camera movements is ideally suited for VR, not since its turning your head that would move the camera. Might be ok for a couple of rounds but not for long gaming sessions.
Cant have been aimed at me as I have a PS4 as well. Too many great console exclusives not to have both.
Its funny, people think that when the 360 and PS3 both sold 80 million plus consoles that it must have been to 160 million different people. Its incomprehensible that gamers may buy both consoles!
Link to back up your assumption please.
Looks really nice. Definitely the best in terms of visuals yet for the Forza franchise.
Pity they released all the details prior to E3 as it diluted the announcement somewhat at E3.
The way this game was revealed at E3 was the lowest form of reveal yet. If it were not a plea for funding to get it made then Sony should have just opted for a survey.
I have never seen so many people excited about what is essentially vaporware.
Again, no problem with the announcement but would rather see it announced with a demo and not just a hey, if you want it then go to kickstarter and vote for it.
Would live a new MechAssault or Shadow of the Colossus
I thought the weather effects looked great! what was wrong with them?
I hope we see some actual games soon, and not just tech demos come Eyetoy VR games.
Love the way I get a disagree with this comment. Look what happened to the EyeToy, it went nowhere becuase the rich gaming experience just was not there. If Sony doesn't nail it with Morpheus then it could put VR gaming on consoles back a few years....or longer! Novelty experiences are short lived. For Morpheus to truly succeed it needs a stream of rich and deep gameplay experiences.
The game looks fantastic...but I need to see more gameplay.
oh yes, and Sea of Thieves and the Rare games collection.
Dont know about you but I didnt know about any of those games beforehand. Knew Rare was up to something but didnt pre-guess what they ended up showing.
both Sony and MS were great this year. Overall I have more games on my bucket list than any previous E3 that I can recall.
I didnt know about the Elite controller, I knew about the revamped one but not the elite. Didnt know about ReCore either, or the new Halo multiplayer mode Warzone.
Its pathetic how every Forza story has to result in pointless Driveclub comparisons.
Sony - 8.5/10. Yes there was game after game but a complete lack of coverage for Morpheus and a poor showing for Vita marks them down in my opinion. I was really hoping to see some stunning VR gaming on stage at this E3.
MS - 8/10. Started off incredibly strong with Halo 5 and backward compatibility, followed later by an incredible Hololens display. Unfortunately the Gears 4 reveal, I'm saddened to say, was completely uninspired. The trailer for the original GeOW on ...
Depends on the game dont you think? It certainly provides the greatest freedom of movement than any other offering at present.
Personally I think VR and AR could be huge for the industry with AR having many more practical uses. Its all going to come down on how rich the experience is.
If Sony had put front facing cameras on the Morpheus then it could have done augmented reality as well...
Sony would have been better to create a form fitting cradle for their smartphones that basically turned them into a Vita. No, im not thinking some bulky 3rd party grip but something that when slotted in would look like a Vita.
Imagine, a phone that could access the Android store plus the PS Store for the more advanced mobile games. Applicable Android games would also benefit from physical controls. The tech in the Vita is old school now so could easily form the basis of ...
I cannot wait for this game, definitely a worthy successor to FM5 from what I have seen. Everything seems to have been the recipient of an upgrade; handling, visuals, sound and content. Definitely seems to be set to become the most complete racing simulator on X1 later this year.
Given the way MS is positioning the Win10 platform I would not be surprised if FM makes an eventual transition across to the PC. Which, let's face it would be the only way of taking advantage ...
Wow! this looks brilliant!
How did Shenmue take the hole thing? it was a plea for funding to get it made?!?
For me it was because it received no real attention during their liveshow. Also, because nothing with real gaming depth was shown. Sure RIGS looked ok but take away the VR and RIGS is a simple 3v3 arena battle. 3v3! really!?!
