I'd be more concerned with how Sony will react. How will they change their terms and conditions, policies, features, etc.
You could say the same about PS4 or does it already run Cars at 60fps?
Fix the framerate issues, screen tearing and throw in car customisation like Forza and I'd agree with this article. As it stands Forza 5 still stands as one of those best racing launch game titles on console.
Bring on Forza 6!
ND are one of the reasons I continue to buy Playstation. Ever since I first played Crash Bandicoot on PS1 (first PS game I ever owned) I have admired their work.
Point is majority rules. Higher number off sales and no second hand sales. Anyone who thinks consoles will be exempt is just kudding themselves. Next gen digital will be the predominant format.
You realise console gamers are in the minority now. Mobile gaming has a much larger install base..
It's business, they follow the money. Mobile gaming is still a growth area because of its huge install base. Console gaming is flat by comparison, yes, I know PS4 is selling well but whether Sony or MS sell 80,000,000 consoles developers still only sell the same amount of games. Only a handful of titles reach 2 million or more in sales before they are given away or heavily discounted.
Do I want mobile gaming to take over console gaming, no; but it has in terms of reven...
6/10...little harsh. They should have stuck with PC then worked on a console version down the line if it turned out good. I think all formats suffered because they spread themselves a little thin.
You know, with MS's cloud service I would have thought they would have offered up default multiplayer capability for all games. Proper lobbies, clans, matchmaking, etc. Why is it every developer seems to build that aspect of the game from scratch also!
yeah, although Ive been gaming since the early 80s I never got the whole collectors edition thing.
Whats the point of pre ordering. Its not like you wont be able to get it a week or two later if it sells out...or immediately if you're buying digitally. I prefer to wait for reviews and watching Twitch streams before buying most of my games nowadays.
I've always hated that word..."livery". sounds so try hard.
Yes, admitedly a step down from Forza 4 in that regard but the car customisation is crazy which seems remarkably absent from a game like Project Cars. However, I am sticking with Forza for other reasons, mainly do to with the locked 60fps. To me an essential element for such a game since its geared more toward simulation and precise timing. I would have been happier for the X1 version of cars to be in 720p if it meant a true locked 60fps given everything thats going on on screen. But dipp...
Well, after watching Band of Brothers again recently I was so hoping for a gritty and realistic return to WWII. Leave the furture warefare setting to Battlefront and Titanfall. I want COD to return to its origins and stop all the run'gun like you're on crack nonsense.
"destroys"...and this coming from an avid XB1 supporter who put lots of time into playing Forza 5?....oh...wait...
I'll take Forza 5 over the XB1 version of Project Cars. I dont care if Cars has improved visuals (opinion) I refuse to get Cars unless they resolve screen tearing and lock it in at 60fps. I would not even care if Forza 6 dropped to 900p if it ups the graphics ante in other areas as long as that silky smooth framerate is retained.
So, someone who was paid to help create the game reckons its good...go figure.
You guys are dead right. Im guessing thats why we have an abundance of open world driving games that look as good or if not better than fixed circuit racing games.
Until we see Driveclub Open world edition its all just assumption.
Jump onto Twitch and decide for yourself. For me until they address the obvious screen tearing then I'm going to pass.
I wish Sony would have shown this kind of "desperation" with the Vita. Better what MS is doing than just letting a product die.
