And how much time was dedicated to that list of games at E3?
Its great being a true gamer. Enjoying good games no matter the platform. True gamers got the most out of E3...fanboys willingly restrict themselves and make sure everyone knows it through lame comments.
GT6...dont you mean GT5.1. Honestly, that felt like an annual release after GT5 given how little it actually advanced the franchise.

How many times did we see an Oculus rep at E3 state you need a pretty powerful PC for VR gaming using the Oculus. If this comes to the X1 then I will be just as concerned as I have been for VR on the PS4. That is, the quality of the games.
I want VR to succeed but as yet I've seen nothing to convince me it will as yet.
I already have both, tossing up whether to buy a second X1 or PS4.
Its like shooting fish in a barrel. Except in this case they are extremely stupid fish because they think they are swimming in the best barrel filled with the higest quality water.
You have to keep in mind that with the release of Win10 MS is creating a whole, cross platform Xbox echo system. Eventually you wont hear a game is for XB1 or PC, it will just be Xbox. This controller will go where you play the games so from that perspective its great value for money.
Why not just extend Project Cars? does it really need a sequel announcement already?
To me the WiiU was just a Wii that was on par with the X360 and PS3...maybe they should have called it the WiiHD. If they had not thrown in that manky controller and priced it to compete then maybe it would have had legs. However, fancy releasing something with last gen specs just as the next gen was about to hit. Nintendo gave up on the specs race a long time ago but at some point that will come back and bite you.
Nice...I would get one for me and let my kids use the standard controllers. Unfortunately its listed at $199 here, a little bit too pricy for me right now.
All they needed to do was up texture resolution and improve the lighting. They have completely changed the feel of the enviornments, making them seem a lot more sterile.
To be honest, I just want Hoarde mode back other wise the multiplayer game is just a playground for snipers and shotgun players. The machine gun is about as useful as making paper darts with damp paper.
Yeah, but what they showed was still pretty impressive.
Its hardly surprising. With each iteration of the revamped PS3 features were dropped and it got cheaper looking. I could not believe the final PS3 had a manual disc cover!
Obviously it means they are cutting manufacturing costs but it is a little disappointing given its selling so well.
I'm tossing up whether to get a second PS4 or X1 so I can multiplayer with my kids....a good Elite X1 bundle may just sway me to go X1.
BC is now a feature MS can use to distinguish its brand from Sony's Playstation. Whether its widly used or not its a point of difference. In terms of anyone thinking BC is a negative, given it costs nothing, is absolutely perplexing to me. Its also not like MS took any features away to make it happen.
The X1 could easily use the slogan whoch helped Sony turn around the fortunes of the PS3 last gen...It Only Does Everything.
Those stretched light reflections, while a nice addition, look terrible and actually lessen the overall visual quality.
Its looking great...but with so many other big games being released that month I may need to wait a little before I pick it up.
@Shadow: I was hoping to see something that would warrant the spend. So far, and I'm including RIGS, what I have seen look like simple games, reminiscent of EyeToy games in terms of their depth and longevity.
@Volkama: I would have much prefered to see a live demo than what we did see. Why not get Guerilla Cambridge to do a round of RIGS at the very least? you know, get the developers to show it off and talk about it like most the other game reveals.
Stupid argument from both camps. Both Sony and MS leveraged the past. There were only a couple of new IPs shown that were not sequels or not shown before this years E3.
Horizon was a great reveal and I need to see more of Recore and Dream before I make up my mind.
Anyway, take out all the games we'd seen prior to this E3 or are based on sequels and there was not a heck of a lot left.
