I thinking the dumb AI happened roughly around the same time the primary enemies became zombies.
Let me start by saying pretty much all I play are shooters (Gears, KZ2 when it launches, crysis you name it). The point is, there's a reason its survival horror and not a action game. There are plenty of action games with zombies. RE5 is not one of them and I think they are dead on in their implementation. After all, if it was run and gun it would feel like L4D ie. not truly horror.
Maybe it's not your type of game, and that's understandable. But complaining that the devs did som...
I agree with above. Im surprised everyone is taking a 90 from a PC review source so negatively. Especially since he talked about the graphics being nice, even though Im sure this guy has played many great and amazing looking FPS. Plus, giving a game a 90 is now underrating it?! You guys haven't even played it yet and you're prepared to say something as high as a 90 is undercutting it?
Yeah, this guy really just seems like a raving narcissist. Not only is this stunt ridiculous and won't help him at all (Im sure this was just for the attention anyway), but the title and cover of the game really say it all. He named the game after himself, and felt the need to tell everyone it was made by one person. Which honestly, for a DS title really isn't THAT crazy.
How does it no longer work? I mean, as far as the multiplayer went... the pc version just felt like a console port. So I could see you saying that it didn't work that well. But I just booted my copy up and it runs.
Maybe Im missing something though.
I think its because ps3 fanboys took over. It has nothing to do with one console being better than another. The fact is, for whatever reason this site is full of rampant ps3 fans (yes I know there are some 360 ones as well but look at the agrees p23 fanboys get over 360 and even PC). As a result the forums are not decent... nothing but fanboy fodder unfortunately. Still a great site though.
Ok, I agree in a very laggy game the chainsaw is your best bet. But what about those of us who prefer the hammerburst because it's more fun and in my opinion takes a bit more skill than the lancer. I never start with a lancer, which is perfect in non-laggy games but the second the lag spikes hit its game over for me.
Oh, and how are you going to argue that holding the B button takes more skill than aiming with a shotgun? If anything I'd say poor players benefit the most from the ...
Well for one they're all multiplayer related so im sure the reviewers didn't see most of them and secondly lots of them take a bit of creativity so they've been coming out over time. For example I've only noticed the invisibility happening in the last 2 weeks.
I disagree... it doesn't have anything to do with sucking. I play alot and I still hate the vacuum saw. Problem is, thats a lag thing. If they're not going to make it so they get stunned easier (they probably won't since they added chainsaw duels and want to see them happen) then in a laggy game theres no way to tell if your in chainsaw range or not. And lets face it... gears 2 tends to lag, a lot.
While I agree that I don't think it will completely replace local storage I do think you're underestimating it a little bit.
Comparing it to email download isn't quite right. Many people with broadband don't get to see the high download speeds not because of their internet line but because the servers they're pulling from aren't dishing out at high speeds. Email servers are especially bad because email is typical used for text files and I think they limit speeds to steer clear of...
Surely you must admit how ridiculous that sounds. Nothing against the game but might want to check out that article that was on here a little while ago about using hyperbole's when talking about video games.
Yeah, they didn't even have to make gold rush. I mean, I think its a good map and it should be in the game. But it was completed long before gears 2 shipped (since it was included in gears pc) so why wasn't gears 2 shipped with it?
Haha, yes, yes it is. I wasn't even sure if they were referring to marcus fenix because it was so oddly stated.
I was gonna comment on that whole graphics over gameplay bit because the three games they show were all excellent games. Plus Ive noticed that usually the most impressive graphics come from the best studios because they have money not only to have great artists but also great designers.
Gears 2, Crysis, and MGS4 were all excellent and beautiful. While Crysis wasn't anything revolutionary in terms of gameplay, the beauty of the game lent itself to feeling very immersed (which is ...
Yeah, but look what its on there for. Its not up there for being a good game. They are merely saluting a very small aspect of it. Which who knows, maybe one talented programmer did something right.
"Kholinar, without the PS3 & 360 i'd consider the gaming industry DEAD. As would many others.
Games such as:
Dead Space
Mirrors Edge
GTA4
MGS4
Gears 2
etc, etc, would not exist. "
Or we could see them in their true HD glory by having PC gaming make a comeback (not that its dead... but its not what it was). But I will say, I like things as they are. Currently Id say theres a console for everyone.
Even if the Wii...
Huh, I had no idea either. I loved this game when it came out and now I guess Im going to install it again. Very cool.
Its true, making a gaming machine that contends with PS3s and Xbox360s is about a 400-500 dollar en devour. Making one that is much nicer is roughly 1000 dollars. Making one that is pointlessly expensive, well, that can be any ridiculously high amount.
That being said, I too am a modder and it's nice to have access to the SDK. I buy some games on Console, some on PC. Its really a matter of what experience your looking for.
Also, making overgeneralized cracks about al...
Yeah it really is a shame the arguments for / against a console get more attention than this. Although you could head over to slashdot for people who actually care about this kind of stuff. I saw a very similar article on there with about 300 comments.

I completely agree with you though, at least in the U.S. companies seem to get away with a lot more than ...
Run and Gun is easy until you're playing against actual people. Then its a whole different story.
Edit: For those who are used to the controls of course. Theres nothing more painful than watching someone new to gaming try and handle two joysticks for looking and moving, let alone if theres a cover system involved.
